I see a poster of Freddie in the background. Freddie was always trying to bridge opera with rock, etc. And he did manage to make one album with his favorite opera singer Montserrat Calballe. But, Dimash has now perfected Freddie's dream. Dimash has successfully bridged opera with everything! When he sings, he captivates his audiences, very much like Freddie back in the day. He's also only 27, so he still has a long career ahead of him! Dimash's stage presence is already at master level. When he sings, he becomes the song. The composer (Piergiuseppe Zaia) initially composed this as an orchestral piece for his film, "Creators: The Past". It's on the soundtrack of the film, and the title of the piece is "The Story of Jesus". When asked about the song, Zaia said that it's about the Garden of Gethsemane. After lyrics were written for the composition (under the title "Across Endless Dimensions"), the composer said that the song, for obvious reasons, should be sung by the most beautiful voice in the world. His co-producer started googling for the most beautiful voice in the world, and she quickly came up with Dimash's name. After watching some of Dimash's youtube videos and being mind-blown, she showed them to Zaia, who immediately contacted Dimash's team. Zaia created a demo recording for Dimash to hear the song. It required 3 different singers to make the demo, and even then the operatic soprano couldn't reach the highest notes at the end. Dimash agreed to go to Italy to record this track for the film's closing credits. Sony released Dimash's track last year with a video, using green screen and FX in which Zaia inserted Dimash into scenes from his science fiction film...so lots of spaceships, aliens and such. This new, just-released video you reacted to is Dimash's own creation/production, as he imagines the song. For me, this video seems closer to the original intent of the composition. I would love to know what Piergiuseppe Zaia thinks of it.

I was taken by your inability -- similar to everyone else's, I assure you -- to fully articulate your appreciation for this man's talent and skill. It just stops your heart, as though this IS all there is. I've watched a whole lot of Dimash reactions for a few years running now, and your comment reminds me of one reactor in particular -- although I can't for the life of me recall precisely which one -- who commented something along the lines of Dimash being the perfect script, the perfect score, the perfect instrument, the perfect performer who not only sings the song, but rather IS the song, such that when he comes onto stage to perform, he executes himself. Dimash doesn't just sing. I'm right with you on that. So are a whole lot of the rest of us. Dimash is IT. Again, thanks for your excellent reaction here. Cheers.

Hadn't seen this version, only the video, it's amazing. Thank you for this. And thank you for the analysis, it's so dead on, it's the amazing thing about Dimash, it's not his voice, it's all of him. His all body is the artist, not just the voice. I always remember Adaggio and the funny thing is that even the stance it goes against what all you vocal coaches teach for sure, specially when hitting those notes, for sure being on your knees is not the proper body stance, but he is so complete as you say that his voice is just an extension and doesn't "suffer" when he is performing, regardless of body position. I don't know if he has "studied" some sort of monk meditation techniques to reach this state of "zen" while singing, but he definitely creates some sort of bubble and sits in it as nothing else exists in the world and delivers these amazing performances one after another. You are the first vocal coach that points this out, the "completeness" and it just shows that even for you singing is just more than the voice, thank you for the raw and genuine reactions and i start to wonder if i get emotional because of Dimash (which i always do anyway) or because of your own reaction to him. Across Endless Dimensions was composed as a movie trailer for Creators: The Past by the movie’s director/writer. When seeking a singer, he and his team sought “the world’s best singer” and found Dimash. It took three other singers to introduce this to Dimash - one singer could not sing the whole piece. Dimash originally did not have time in his schedule, but found time and a video (with clips from the movie) was released in January 2020. I would like to believe that Dimash chose this song as much as he was chosen. This song suits him. The subject, the beauty, the range. I was thrilled to see the staging of this too. Always love your reactions and you should see the movie trailer version as well. Visually stunning!

I've seen a lot of reactions to this song. This reaction had two firsts in it for me : First time with this version of the song and first time with the person actually commenting on the lyrics themselves. Those are very strong and deep words.
