Technical question. The gearbox has oil, but if cold enough the sluggish oil will create friction. Did you notice any difficulties?

I have a KTM Lontano Pinion 18. Could you please answer the following questions ?: Is there a special oil for the pinion 18 for these temperatures?? And what about brake fluid? I have hydrolic disc brakes. Do you think the Schwalbe Marathon Winter plus 50-622 tyres will do? or do I really need to take other tyres like the Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro 57-622? @@NomadsTrails good idea love my spark but it got stuck in Australia on last tour replace it with the mini it good but feel the spark much better because of the follow feature the mini can do with buying a etc app works good but only works for now on the mini 1 …. Your statement on the Fatbike while true for that condition. In general a Fatbike handle much better on trails snow sand mud etc some day try one then you know .. many long distance cycle touring people have been switching over special people that go of trails … and more remote places . I’ve been touring with Bikepacking Fatbike setup for over 7 years love it .. keep traveling
