You are a very lucky person Cynthia. You have got the opportunity to witness the Beatles when they were together , in their primes. You've got that feeling of eagerness in you waiting for a new beatles album and the joy when they actually releases a one. I'm a 2000s kid who never got the chance to meet the Beatles in real life ( In fact we don't have all the members of beatles now P.S RIP John and George). Just hoping for a chance to meet McCarthy in-person in future, if possible one day.

According to google, The refrain "Jai Guru Deva Om" is a mantra intended to lull the mind into a higher consciousness. The words are in Sanskrit, and they mean "I give thanks to Guru Dev," who was the teacher of The Maharishi. The "Om" at the end is the drawn out "oooohm" used in meditation to relate to the natural vibration of the universe. While visiting the Maharishi in Rishikesh, John purchased a set of brass bracelets with the words "Jai Guru Dev" imprinted on them. (I had to look it up!)
@shivanshtripathi63183 жыл бұрын
Beautifully explained. Haridwar is my hometown and i've visited Rishikesh many times aswell, but everytime you visit these spiritual places, there's some weird emotion, some kind of existential crisis which unlocks witin your body. As a matter of fact, i feel a part of the very universe. I feel that we are unified. Since covid is getting down, i'm planning to go there once again.

It's actually my favorite of all time, not by The Beatles, its my favorite song of all time. I don't listen to it often because I'm genuinely scared that I might someday get bored, I love it so much that I visit it rarely. Preserves how it's nothing like the generic stuff that gets churned out on daily basis by the modern music industry (There are some good artists with fantastic songs, don't get me wrong, but this remains the No1, decades and possibly centuries after it was made). RIP John Lennon, you're immortal though.

I stood at the foot of their graves, staring at the marble headstone of my parents. The only sounds on that sunny day were birds chirping, and a low mechanical growl of a distant lawn-mower. I reached in my pocket pulled out a slim cell-phone, and selected this song. Standing there alone, my mind went beyond the grief, beyond thousands of memories swirling in my head, like leaves in a whirlwind, as lightning flashes of joy and pain washed over me, briefly illuminating each memory. I looked toward the sun. It's rays felt warm on my face, and suddenly i was at peace. This is simply a transition for all of us. It was change. Something an astronomy professor once told to me, rang through the memories, "The only constant in the Universe is change." I placed yellow roses in the small vase on their combined headstone (my mother "Rose's" favorite flower), smiled, and left the cemetery.

Jai Guru Deva = "Glory to the remover of darkness" Since there is a meditation element to this song, I think its overall message is "no matter my current circumstances, no matter what I see happening around me, I have the power to control my emotional state. Circumstances don't control me and I choose to feel good and at peace. There is a book from the Abraham Hicks channeling series called "Ask and it is Given" in it is a line that reads "Absolute well being is the basis of your Universe."

Each to their own, but I cannot understand why anyone could dislike Beatles' music. Some of the most beautiful melodies, riffs, and beat ever created. An extraordinary output of high-quality material. Some people resist things that are universally loved. Me for example, it took the love of a girl who was really into the Beatles in my formative years to really develop an interest in them. But once she was gone it was like her energy still persisted through the music so it's always clung around in my playlists. I could experience the things she made me feel just by hearing her favorite music.

I was around 10 when I first heard their music I fall in love with them, now I'm 63, still the same feeling. I have to sons and I remembered I used to play The Beatles songs on a mini cassette recorder while they were going to sleep, today the oldest one likes them and the youngest one plays bass in a Rock Band. I can't complain. The Beatles forever and ever.

Phil.Spector had John do the song slower then the original unreleased version. Some do not like the embellishments but I do and so did John. Good work Phil Spector.

When listening, I noticed to myself in a silent room that when you have tough question that no one can answer. I had thought to myself that in my mind said "The only person to answer such a tough question is a man you never see but believe in, it is a man who everyone knows but they don't really know, A man who is everywhere but is in one place and that man is God."
