For some reason. This is the only war time anime I can find. It's not only not bias, well, you know. Japanese tends to show how heroic they are and demonize the Allies but this series. It's so neutral that I can't believe it's made in Japan and anime. My favourite part is where this clips came. A story about the Baka Bomb pilot. I was going to bail out after seeing how they portray their pilots as heroes but then they cut to the American sailors mourning their dead pilot who just wants to become a cartoonist after the war ends. All he want is the war end as he is sick of it and just be a cartoonist and live a peaceful life. Then it cuts to show both pilots (the escorting zero pilot) who vows to take revenge to each other.

For anyone who thinks that this is old school anime I either missed this or it wasn't aired in the US . This looks New School to me . Way too smooth between frames. . AND as for the BaKa bomb pilot .... GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY SHIP !!!!!!! Is a quote from the Capt. of the Cruiser that was the target .

Shotgunman5 If you knew Naval history I was quoting the Capt . that saw the bomb coming toward his ship . In REAL Life . Not some anime . AND I wasn't Disrespectful .

por si a alguien le interesa, este anime es una serie de 3 ovas llamadas ¨the cockpit¨, basados en un manga de leiji matsumoto, el creador del capitan harlock. Las recomiendo bastente, son historias auto-conclusivas.

The job of a kamikaze is the exact same as a suicide bomber. And both should not be idolized at all.

It's a little sad to think that the entire Japanese airgrup died to get just that one hit in.....and historically by the next day not only would there be a brand new carrier in a shipyard in California but the carrier they hit would be almost completely Repaired and would be back in operations. Don't get me wrong Fu** the IJN and IJA but still, it feels a little weird to see someone try so hard and yet do so little.
@Cowboycomando545 жыл бұрын
That hit also produce minimal damage due to the Baka Bomb going in one side and out the other, then exploding.
@ligmaboo5 жыл бұрын
the thing is, it was worth it. WW2 was an industrial attrition war, Japan just didn't have enough trained pilots and planes to pull it off.
@kiri65344 жыл бұрын
They sunk the carrier tho so this air attack was a massive sucess
@anarchyandempires54524 жыл бұрын
@@kiri6534 the hit was neither in a critical area nor was it heavy enough to cause any real damage, at least historically that is, I don't know about the anime.
@kiri65344 жыл бұрын
@@anarchyandempires5452 Its 1.2 tons of explosives blowing up inside it, impossible for the carrier to survive
