I never understood the complaints of plastic on a lens, the only parts that have to be metal for a quality lens IMHO are the main barrel (inside) and the lens bayonet. I have several lenses with plastic on the outside that work just fine. Definitely guilty of having too many lenses with me at any given time. Trying to keep it down to the 35, 50, and 85mm F1.8 trio I have right now, or sometimes I rock my 24-60 and 70-200 F2.8 sigma zooms.

My Sigma 18-250 zoom lens suffers from lens flair on my Pentax cameras. My 28-70 Sigma does not does not have the problem

I think technically on 4/3 bodies your aperture is multiplied not only focal view. So you are never shooting at 2.8

The multiplier only applies to depth of field. The aperture numbers are produced by a mathematical formula. The exposure value of f2.8 is not affected by sensor size. If a full frame camera has an exposure of f2.8 at 1/100 ISO100 the m43 camera exposure will be exactly the same.

@@acrummey85 I am a new subscriber and I love your talking head content, when you talk I can feel some authenticity ang genuinity in your content. Anyhow, I think Derrick meant that the noise level of a photo taken with an f2.8 lens on a E-P5 is roughly the same as on an Sony A7 with an f5.6 lens. When people calculate equivalence, traditionally focal length is calculated to angle of view, in this regard noise level is to be calculated, too, for correct comparison, otherwise perpetuum mobile would be invented.
