I love that no matter what health issues your client has, you make sure they’re comfortable, assured that they too can have beautiful nails and never make one of them feel any different than a person with no health issues! I have eczema so I know how my hands sometimes look and how rough they can feel and even I find they feel so gross because they’re so dry. As an aspiring nail tech it’s nice to watch how at ease you are and how not grossed out you are! xx

Really good that you bring up different kinds of clients! I wouldn't get out of bed if I can't make myself look pretty. Starting out watching Naio Nails channel; I was really depressed and very scarred from wanting nails; but being bullied out of it so many times; because of an envious Mom and harrassing family way back. I painted them but never wore them as I wrote earlier! I'm typing this comment with long (yes!) pastelly pink nails and I feel SO good! Nails are health! :)

"if I do my own nails, I always do my dominant hand first or I walk around with just one hand done" *glances down at left hand with Acrygel stilleto nails fully done (I used Easy Breezy. So pretty!), and my right hand with just the thumb* Quiet you. I feel like this video might be e watching me and judging me 👀 doing my right hand is hard ok?! I will get round to it... I did the thumb. That's a start!

I always had very clammy hands (also linked to thyroid) up until I worked with ceramics for a year. Having my hands on clay and in slip so much helped calm down the clammy. It has been many years since I've done ceramics and my hands did become clammy again, but it took a few years to happen. So a pottery hobby could help with that!

Great tutorial re: my question about Hyperhydrosis! 2 clients with it...one is new and was afraid to attempt nail enhancements as she had been humiliated by other techs AND charged extra for the "baby powder" the tech used on her due to the profuse sweat! I double dehydrate and take almost double time doing client with issue...Lady K, YOU Rock!

I think it's really great that you're teaching people to make sure that a client with clammy hands can still get awesome nails! Rather than fearing that situation people can feel confident they know what to do. Plus as someone with clammy hands who does their own nails, I now know why my tips like to pop up 2 seconds after I glue them. It was driving me nuts trying to work out what I was doing wrong. What tips were you using?

Great set!! My question is, if you had put a gel colour over top that and then later you wanted to take it off, if you used the soak off method would it soak into the acrygel too or just the gel colour? 🤔

So I’ve heard that a good trick for combating hyperhydrosis like this is to put dehydrator or acetone, 3 coats on the nails AND the surrounding skin. It helps keep the skin dry so the issues are a bit less. And then as you work, if you feel the moisture coming back up, just apply more. I’ve not had a client yet that has this issue, but I’d love to test it myself. This tip came from the channel Nailcou and she says it works real well. Hope that is helpful for someone 😊

@naomipask99565 жыл бұрын
Charlotte Cundall ; I totally understand your problem. While I don't have any thyroid issues, I wash my hands well over 30 times per day because I am a theatre nurse. My cuticles are quite dry and the times I have had enhancements, I have always had issues with lifting, usually at the sides. I also have side walls that flare out and uneven nail beds from 19yrs of nail biting. It sucks!

Moisturizer every time you wash your hands, helps, but it’s hard on them to work anywhere in healthcare, especially in the O.R.!

@naionails do you prefer acrygel over acrylic? What do you do more of?
@trash_can_18714 жыл бұрын
I prefer acrygel, it's easier and you can take all the time you need. Perfect for beginners. But not dual forms you have to use tips or learn to sculpt acrygel.
@ManiClaires_pressOnNails5 жыл бұрын
Loveee this colour 😍 does anyone know how I'd add glitter to acrygel nails 🤔 xx
@pandapuffs7105 жыл бұрын
Use a pallet like a tile and add what ur gonna use of acrygel and sprinkle ur glitter mix to cover the top and then the most important is then to fold it into itself with a gel spatula
@vickyferguson15 жыл бұрын
You can add it by gently patting it on with a soft makeup brush before you cure it. So do your sculpt then just b4 you cure pick a glitter you want get your brush dip it in to the glitter the gently pat on the nail and keep going from glitter to nail till you get what look you want. Or as this person said above.
@Faux.P5 жыл бұрын
You can do it several ways! You could take some of your acrygel and whatever glitters you want and mix them together well, before you even have them on your nails. Then once your ready to start putting the acrygel on your nails it’s already ready to go for you and they will be embedded that way. Or if you have enhancements on already you can take some basecoat or even topcoat and mix the glitter and put on your nails together and cure that and finish it with top coat.
