I appreciate how she explains why you do things & why you wouldn't. Alot of tutorials will assume you already know the "basic" steps like prepping the nail. But alot of ppl are self taught & appreciate explanations for the reasons why you do things. (I.e . Using the ph bond affects the glue adhesion but can be used prior to gel polish) This explains why my full coverage tips dont last long😢. Thank you for the video! ❤

just in case if you don't do this already Please keep your hands out of water like sitting in the tub with your hands in water washing dishes fully submerging them causes the natural nail to expand from the water and then shrink when it dries when that happens that helps it to lift and chip If you have your hands in water if you have a rough lifestyle with your hands press on nails will be hard if not dangerous or tricky to keep on I had to tell someone that their lifestyle does not fit press on nails and depending on how you prep them you can rip your natural nail off with a press on nail on it or crack it now not the whole now but maybe just part of the nail and you know that burning feeling imagine that but worse please be careful please watch for lifting I don't want you to get a fungus either

I was wondering if you indeed had to prep the tops of the nails before painting them - if that would make the paint adhere better. I've also been wondering how much you need to prep your natural nail to have the glue hold the press - on nail for more than a day or two. TYSM for sharing your techniques and knowledge with us. I got gel x nails done "professionally" - it was my first time, but I could tell they weren't being done well (I've had hard gel and acrylic in the past). I’ve JUST started using press on nails, so I don’t have the electric file. I’m just using a nail file to gently rough the surface of my own nails. I was going to try the builder nail products until I read the negative experiences others had, YIKES! I use Kiss glue and have had none pop off until at least a week has passed. I will admit I end up with glue on the skin around my nails when I apply the glue to the press on nail. I’ve dropped them, ended up with glue on every surface than my nail! So I’m going to try a drop of glue on my own nail and spread it over the surface of my own nail, then apply the press on nail. Thank you for all the tips and info! Much love to you in oneness! 🙏🏻❤️🕊

Does air bubble in glue effect on lasting of nails
@youngnailsinc9 ай бұрын
If there is an air pocket when you apply a tip, this doesn't give the tip full contact to the finger. Because it isn't adhered fully to the nail, it can pop off easier. Make sure the tip fits the nail perfectly and that you use enough pressure when applying the tip until the glue sets.

I do the same process. Except I use mostly beetles and modelones stuff like primer, base coat, polish and top coat. I just use rubbing alcohol to wipe with (or everclear if I’m out of rubbing alcohol 😂). With sanding the natural nail I know you say not to buff but I get really nervous using my efile on my natural nail so I use a filing foam block thing and I can usually get about 2-3 weeks of wear out of my nails which is perfect because I’m usually bored of my nails by then and want to do a new set anyways lol. @youngnailsincАй бұрын
You generally wouldn’t need to use a buffer on gel nails. buffing a gel enhancement will create too smooth of a surface for another gel or gel polish to adhere to. The only time you may want to use it is if you are polishing with a traditional polish rather than a gel polish. This can give the nail a nice smooth, finish for the traditional polish. You can also use a buffer on the natural nail during a regular manicure.

Here is a video about Swipe & how to use it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonbo2OLYtB7oa8 2. Protein bond is a non-acid primer. It does not take the place of your base coat. You should still use a base unless the product you are using says otherwise. 3. You don't have to use protein bond, but it acts like a double sided sticky tape to help adhere product to the nails. Here is a video on Protein Bond & how to use it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYqbfKmMgK-fh6c 4. You can't overcure the gel sso as long as you are fully curing for 60 seconds, you are all good.

I'm self taught to so I just love learning and watching nail videos and I'm gonna try to keep working on my nail skills and see how far it gets me 🥺😫💯

If that's your passion don't give up! Put your all into your craft put blood sweat and tears into it. You're gonna have ups and downs that's part of your learning. Her nails coming off just tells you what mistakes you made that's all. Don't give that up!❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do you have a video showing how the prep the underside of the false nail when you don't have an e-file?
@Affranchie3 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can wipe them with a little acetone. This also saves you so much time :)

I've seen on Kiara Sky's insta they suggested buying a pack of the sanding bands off amazon etc and putting it over a cuticle tool and using that to rub the inside

thank you for your videos! why do you use glue instead of gel or hybrid gel? wouldn't it be less chance of infections on the nails due to proper sealing? thank you :)
@lauraschulz8622 жыл бұрын
These are meant to be temporary and not a long term wear so no need for gels etc unless your wanting them to be a longer lasting nail enhancement! Absolutely you can adhere with poly or gel etc if you desire a longer lasting enhancement ❤️

Would you put product (acrylic or gel) on the full cover? Wouldn't that add strength? I can see not if treating them like a temporary extension.

Thats what I was hoping she would touch on. Every time I put product on a full coverage, they look bulky and unnatural.

Will this work well if I then used dip powder on the nails instead of gel? :)
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
you can use dip powder but it will make the nail look thicker

I’m a licensed nail tech, and I apply these and as they grow out, I do a rebalance with acrylic. Is that acceptable? I’m trying it on several of my own nails that had cracks. So far is working great…just want your opinion!❤️
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
Your results may vary depending on how you applied the full coverage tips to begin with. If you are just gluing them on and filling as they grow out, the glue may not be enough strength to hold them on for an extended period of time. If you fill with acrylic, you will have the strength at the base of the nail but not where it's glued on and may crack at that area. However, if it is working for you and you are not having any issues, keep at it!

Which one is your best glue for press on? With the right prep. How long will they last? I Har been trying other glues but I will love to go for yours
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
We use this one. It comes with all of our full cover tip packs. www.youngnails.com/products/yn-nail-glue I've had them on with the glue for 3+ weeks and Tracey has even had them on for 5 weeks with the glue.

Can you do a video on flat nail beds? Like how to use full cover nails on flatbeds. I have flatbeds and can't get full cover nails to hold on to them. What brands to use? etc. TY
@NovaKnowsBeauty3 жыл бұрын
If you can't find flatter tips, you could use polygel to help fill in some space between the tip and your natural nail. (The polygel would also act as the adhesive.)

Thank you very much for this video. I have a question and I wonder if other people have this same problem, when I use full cover tips, and a tip is a bit too small, the next size is always too big and in trying to file it down, I think I mess up the structure of the nail tip,making my application with gel glue messy and the nail looks wide. So do I just use the nail tip that’s a bit small or do I have to work on my skill at filing down a nail tip that is too big (if I have to do this, does anybody have tips on how to properly file down big nails?)
@youngnailsinc8 ай бұрын
It's best to go to a bigger size rather than using one that is too small. If the tip is too small, it won't cover all the way to the sidewalls. It's best to go to a bigger size and file the edges in. Try holding the tip and keeping your file straight along the side of the tip to keep the side straight as you take it in. You can also use a little more of the Fiber Gel on the nail to fill in space when you adhere it so it fits the curve better. Once the nail is glued on, if it still feels too wide, you can always do more filing to taper it in on the sides. Check out this video for a little more info about applying Full Cover Tips with Fiber Gel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hobbiaF5r8-daLcsi=nLBhPL9M4stXRTgo

I learned so much from this video! :) I have one question: is it better to have short or long nails to use full cover tips? I tried using them, but my nails are a bit longer (somewhere between short and medium), and my free edge goes a bit downwards. And if I want a nice fit in the cuticle area, the free edge of the tip is separated from the free edge of my natural nails. I do not know is it's better to cut my nails short or if there is some technique to solve the issue without cutting my nails...
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
As with most enhancements, the less nail you have to interfere with the product adhesion, the better. If your natural nail curves downward, we would definitely recommend cutting it shorter so the tip adheres as securely as possible.

I was wondering... is it possible to paint the tips, have a full set ready and THEN glue them?? or will those extra layers of base coat, paint, glitter/foil/swarowski etc, and top coat be too much for the uv light to reach the glue and properly dry it off??
@youngnailsinc7 ай бұрын
If you are using an air-dry glue, yes, you can pre-design the nails. If you are using a gel or anything that needs to cure in the light, you would have to make sure any color you use prior to curing is thin enough and light enough for the light to cure through so you don't leave uncured gel on the nail.
