Liebe Gerda, wunderschöne Drucke, herrliche Strukturen und Farben! Einmal mehr Danke, dass wir teilhaben dürfen. Welches Papier benutz Du?

Hi Gerda, thanks again for sharing! After creating those beautiful work, how do you proceed for showcasing /present them? Do you adjust them in a mat or behind glasses or what else? Would it be possible to stick them on a canvas surface?
@GerdaLipski4 жыл бұрын
Hello Marcia, you can do whatever you want with the prints. I will choose the most beautiful ones and mount them on wooden panels, I will paint the edges of the panels in a matching color. Then when they are related, it looks interesting ...
@wendyanash3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gerda, I so love your creativity and freedom thanks for sharing - just wondering if u leave these on wooden panels as u say and if u add a protective film to the surface of each. ? Gracious and all the best for 2021

I love my homemade gelli plate. It needs much thinner coats of paint than the bought ons an paper needs to stay a bit longer. The paint dosn't dry as fast on it, but I guess it also depends on what recipe is used for it.

You've turned me into a Gelli plate addict and it's so freeing I love it. Do you have a video where you show how to make Gelli plates? I'd love to experiment... Thanks!
@GerdaLipski3 жыл бұрын
There are some artists on KZbin, that show how to make a gel plate. I did a video some Years ago, but the recipe, I have now, is much better. There is a video from Ruth Alice Kosnick in German. Her recipe is OK.

I woke up this morning, saw your video posted and my day already got better 😊 I’d like to ask you: would you consider continuing to work on some of these prints (like you do sometimes with your textured acrylic abstracts)? Accentuating some parts with line work, etc? Thank you so much for sharing your talent and knowledge with us. Love from California 🥰

Thank you, in this case I will not work on them but mount some of them on wooden boards and hang them together

Danke Gerda, your work is always very inspiring, very clear explanations. I was just wondering the weight of the paper you were using and also, how do you use those papers, as collage?
@GerdaLipski4 жыл бұрын
Dear Ana, the paper is about 100g/m2, you can do anything you want with these prints. I think I'll hang some of them as a series

Yes, I think you could try to print it on fabric, good idea!
@kassandra3442 жыл бұрын
Hi, I made a Gelli plate from the instructions in the linked video. It turned out very sticky and the paint dries much too quickly. It's as if the plate is absorbing the moisture. I noticed you used retarder a lot on your plate. Do you find the commercial plates easier to work with? Thanks for your videos, you're my favorite gelli plate youtuber because you're work is more abstract and intuitive. It's closer to my style than the others.
@GerdaLipski2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, you are right, the recipe for the homemade plate is not optimal. I'm working on an improvement and then will make a video about it! The purchased gel plates print well. They are quite expensive though. So I'm working on an alternative.... Love greetings!

Bonjour Daniele, j'utilise généralement du papier ordinaire ou du papier à dessin relativement fin et lisse. Mais vous pouvez également utiliser d'autres papiers. S'ils ont une structure, cela est également montré à l'avantage lors de l'impression
