Another example of the wiping technique, this time also good to rework! einfach, für Anfänger, easy, for beginners

Watching you paint is not seeing you paint one picture but many because at so many steps, I saw a finished product but you kept changing the composition and then there were more paintings I saw along the way. I hope you understand what I am saying. Fantastic finish! Thank you!

You know, if you go to the video Ms Lipski posted on Nov 25th 2017 titled Acryltechniken kombinieren Nr 8, Combining acrylic techniques Nr 8, about 8 minutes into the video she paints over a part that she was working on and across the video, she writes "Sometimes you have to let go of something to make it good." Invariably, the outcome is beyond words. I have run out of adjectives to describe her work. Genius. I truly believe that seeing the artist produce the art is art itself. I've come to enjoy the process as much as the finished product.

Thank you again! I'll have to write that quote in my art journal. I'm starting to try some of Gerda's techniques (just tried the alcohol dripping). She is amazing. I wish my artist eye was 1/2 that skilled. I agree that I could watch her over and over.
@jacquelineireland22735 жыл бұрын
I learn so many methods and looks from watching you...your mind swirls and constantly changes until it comes to a halt and you say "now I am finished". I find myself holding my breath and thinking what is Gerda doing now when you create; it is a wonderful journey to go on with you. Thank you for sharing your creative mind and talents.

Tolle optische Effekte!
@GerdaLipski5 жыл бұрын

@GerdaLipski2 жыл бұрын
Liebe Antji!

This is lovely work. Thanks for sharing. A question: I like Acyrlic but don't use it to paint (only to do quick underpinnings for oil) because it dries too quickly for me... wallpaper glue to keep it moist longer? That is great... can you recommend a brand or where to get it (in Netherlands/Germany or Europe)?
@GerdaLipski5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! For this technique I use no special wallpaper glue, chemically it is methylcellulose. But to keep paint longer wet, you can use for normal painting better retarder or you use paint, that keeps generally longer open as e.g. golden open acrylics.
