very nice, what sand paper did you use to make your lower grit pads?
@tainchains7 ай бұрын
I bought a $65 kit which only included the pads. Do you think there is a way that I could use a mag float to work toth the pads? I did not order the magnet from Mighty Magnet I thought it came with the pads.
@DaquanJohnson7 ай бұрын
You could try it, but the mighty magnet is much stronger than the mag float.

I have same issue with my aquarium . I have a fluval407 canister filter. Woukd that clear out the acrylic or would you suggest using the mini nax and reactot? Tia

That will work as well.

Thanks for this man! This looks like the deciding video on whether or not I should spend the money on the setup. I bought a used 300 gal in rough shape and I'm hoping this will take care of the cloudiness. You think its safe to do it with the fish in there?
@DaquanJohnson3 жыл бұрын
I did it with fish in the aquarium and everything turned out fine. My tank had some bad scratches too. I would recommend using some type of mechanical filtration to remove the sanded off acrylics from the water.

Do you think the flipper magnet is strong enough to sand the tank compared to the magnet that came in the kit you bought?
@DaquanJohnson2 жыл бұрын
No. These magnets are much stronger than the flipper.
@dperryp4 жыл бұрын
Does the kit come with the magnets?
@DaquanJohnson4 жыл бұрын
No. You have to order the magnets seperate. The magnet size coresponds to the thickness of the acrylic of you aquarium.

great content! Can you tell me what adhesive you used to glue the sandpaper to the pad? was it just super glue?

I used silicone.

Very nice! How thick is your acrylic? Was it hard to move the magnets?
@DaquanJohnson4 жыл бұрын
The acrylic is about 1/4”. It was easy to move the magnet 🧲. The last two grits were hard though.
