I've been watching your tumbler videos and they are so helpful. I have a visitor center that wants to sell my tumblers. What I have found is that Rustoleaum covers in one coat whereas cheaper paints take 2 coats and create a cloud of paint in the air. Definitely worth it to spend a couple dollars more. Thanks for all your videos!

Your videos are my "Go-To" for learning this fun craft. You're very thorough, reassuring to us novices that "It will be awesome", and come across as that knowledgeable friend that lives to see her friends do great. I also love that you admit that you sometimes have heavy hands with the heat gun, it's always in my mind to let the epoxy have time to react before I blast it again.

This is such a perfect wood grain effect. You also answered a question I have had. If you use multi surface or enamel craft paint you can bake cure it after 24 hours. The craftsmart multi surface says 72 hours. It will be dishwasher safe and it shouldn’t come up with the transfer tape. I painted a cup with regular craft paint and just waited. I can’t remove it to save my life.

Omg thank you for this video. I've tried to do the woodgrain with alcohol inks and failed. However I do have a lot of experience with dirty pours! Idk why it never occurred to me, but now I have hope that I won't screw up this Christmas present!!

I paint my tumblers with acrylic paint in the winter instead of spray paint. Can you still do this pour and get wood grain affect?
@bridgettescreations17334 жыл бұрын
Amazing... I pour acrylic paint and very aware how the paints mix. Have you tried doing a tree ring over a tumbler? I like your method of covering the tumbler with the paint I will have to remember this for when I pour over any object thank you again for another amazing video

I put foil on the table so it doesnt leak through! I also will tilt the cups around with my hand to keep the bottoms from looking like that instead of using a wooden stick! :)

I’m trying one of these and I’m wondering can you sand paint after it dries because the paint for my cup was dripping before but once got on the cup lots of ridges? Did I do something wrong?
@MissKissKreations3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can! Then re epoxy after you have sanded

Do you sand out and drips in the middle of the tumbler that formed during drying? mine isnt smooth
@MissKissKreations2 жыл бұрын
yes, sand then re epoxy
@andreamulligan20162 жыл бұрын
So I did this because of your video, sanded and spray painted waited 24 hours, then did the dirty pour and waited another day and then I just put on my coat of epoxy and at first it looked great but now its all lumpy like big holes all over, I dont understand why? I think Ill let it finish and try and sand and add another coat. Could it just be the epoxy I am using?
@MissKissKreations2 жыл бұрын
It is most likely the epoxy if you prepped your tumbler correctly.

Can you pour the acrylic over the epoxy!!!
@jeneiferthomas10363 жыл бұрын
Do you wait to apply epoxy until it starts to heat up or just combined??
@MissKissKreations3 жыл бұрын
Once the epoxy has been mixed for at least 3 minutes or follow your mixing instructions on your epoxy box/ labels. I do heat up my epoxy, it makes it easier to work with.
