I have painted and drawn pictures for years. I am a Vietnam vet now 80 years old. I am painting a picture of what I remember from Vietnam. I was infantry and all infantry GI's fresh in country and waiting to be assigned to a new company in Cam Rahn Bay on the south China Sea. During days we had to wait we could do whatever we wanted to during the day. At sundown we reported for guard duty. My first day in Vietnam I was taken by Jeep with another infantry soldier to a bunker right on the south China Sea. We both were given M14 rifles with three bullets each. It was a perfect night about an hour into are guard we saw a Vietnamese type of boat just like in your painting coming along the shoreline headed towards us. It came right in front of us and looked like it was going come ashore. We both decided to fire two rounds high above so not to hit it. We both fired at the same time and the boat did a 180 and headed out to the dark sea. Five minutes later the Sargent who dropped us off came flying back in his Jeep. What the hell are you guys doing? We pointed out the boat to him and told him it was about to land right in front of us. He cursed us out and had us get back in his Jeep and said, we don't want to get anybody killed. I thought to myself why did they sent us here?

Bhaiya canvas pe direct colour sakte hain ya... Pehle white colour kar lena chahiye???

Canvas quality first dekna padtha hai. Agar aap Camlin canvas board use karte ho, toh wo already white hota hai. Thoda pani lagakar sponge se clean karna sahi Hoga. Koi chemical hai toh chala jayega. Bhad mein pencil se light se outline dalkar painting kar sakte ho. (White colour jo log lagate hai, wo isliye ki canvas rough hota hai. Usko Gesso kahate hai. Diwar par lagane wala Primer jesa hai)
