Just discovered your channel, this rooster painting is so beautiful 😍 would love to see more real-time sections in video showing/explaining what brushes & techniques you are using to create the feathers. I started painting last year & this is area I struggle with. Thank you for sharing your videos !

Hey Michelle! SO FUN to meet you! 👋😍 Great feed back. I will see what I can do about adding more real time sections. this is a 12" x12" painting, I can see in the video I used a 1/2" flat craft brush - very inexpensive. -- Couple of quick thoughts: You may like the Lives better! it is all in real time ❤ Some slow the video speed down. Some skip parts. --ART THOUGHTS: Brush stroke direction is more important than the actual brushed used. Every artist uses a different brush, paint etc. "Values do the work, Color gets the credit". You Might like my apple painting video (or the pear, or the white clouds on blue) Great places to start and play. Many people like the bumblebee videos - several have traceables. HOPE this wasn't too much! 😂 ART HUGS! 🎨🤗

Hi Annie :) I never cease to be amazed when you complete a painting. My surprise in this one are the touches of blue on his feathers and especially the cad yellow highlights on his head feathers. I think if I walked into a gallery with hundreds of other paintings, I'd go straight to this one cause your directional background and touches of color in his body draw you right in!

Is this whole video available in real time? I need more handholding than most people who’ve been painting for a while. I’ve tried playing your videos on .25x speed and still can’t really grasp some of the detail work you’re doing.

Oh Darn Jessica! This painting on average would take me 12 hours (I am a bit faster 2 years later). We don't / can't handle lengthy video's like that.
