Hello, i just found you and i really enjoyed your videos and it is nice to know you and your story. I think you’re so cute and talented and love your flowers paintings! I am an artist too, i paint all kind of things for almost 20 years.. (time flies quickly). But i make only original paintings so far.. I liked your printing video and wanted to ask you how to take a good photo of my art to do prints off it.. what camera I need and what light. Maybe you can make a video with all those things. Thank you so much for everything you share.

Hi! Thank you so much for all of your kind words!❤️ I have been at this for just 10 year and you are right….TIME FLIES! Your question was the most frequently asked question on my most recent video so I decided to make a stand alone video about it 😊 I didn’t realize it was a stumbling block for so many artists so I’m excited to share the insight that I have on digitizing artwork! I will hve that coming next week so stay tuned :)

I’ve been following you on Instagram probably since 2020 and I am so happy you have started a KZbin channel! I am so an artist and obsessed with flowers so I’m excited to see your process. It’s so helpful sometiems to see which paints and mediums and brushes artists use because it’s either impossible or just really difficult and frustrating to achieve certain looks if you’re using “the wrong” tools. I really want some of this type of acrylic paint now! Haha

Aww thank you for being here all of these years! I’m so excited to share everything I’ve learned over the years because If there is one thing I understand is the challenges that come with being a self taught artist lol. ❤️ I

@@AnnieQuigleyArt yes, and I’ve loved seeing your artwork and style grow over the years! I did go to college for art but I have trouble being less realistic haha so I love learning from artists like you. Also I was going to ask if you could do a video about composition and drawing out your pieces soon???!! Like your thought process behind what you use as sources, going from inspiration to your composition, do you draw out thumbnails, what you think is important in the composition and what’s not etc. maybe it’s a lot easier for you now but maybe you can also think back to when you started doing these type of floral paintings.

What's your set up for recording while you paint? I always feel like the camera or stand is in my way, and I can't focus as much on just painting. 😅 But I know I don't have a good setup. I'd love to see yours and some beginner-friendly setups for recording from above. Thank you!

And if you are using your phone I use this canvasfam.co/3b0vwc2 and have loved it so much because it has a heavy base so you can move it around easily but also hs a table clamp if you just was to keep it in one spot. AND has a light attached :) if you go with this one you can use the code ANNIE10 for 10% off :)

Beautiful tutorial. Can someone explain the purpose of using the matte medium? Does it just eliminate the gloss finish in the paint?
@AnnieQuigleyArt8 ай бұрын
I am so glad you enjoyed! This is definitely something I could do a full video on lol! Yes, it can eliminate the glass finish of the paint, but I like matte medium because it extends the dry time a little bit which is super helpful with blending :)

Id love to hear why you choose certain types of acrylics over others! Heavy, soft, fluid, etc are all overwhelming to me!
@AnnieQuigleyArt8 ай бұрын
Oh! I could definitely make a video going deeper on this question because I know I was feeling the same way when I started out too! It really comes down to the look you are going for and techniques you are using. I have been using fluid acrylics for a few months now because I like how they blend on paper on the other hand, for the way I paint, I prefer heavy body on larger canvases :)
