I was so excited to shop ready to pour paints. As someone with zero experience and uncertain if I'll enjoy this, I wish you sold a starter kit with smaller bottles!

The painting you don't care for is absolutely adorable to me because in the abstract I see a mother/father dinosaur (left) playing with her/his baby (right). It's like the parent is running from the baby to teach it to be scary or to chase prey.

Thank you so much for this video. The practicality of buying and storing canvases, new and painted, gets in the way of this beautiful creative art. Your videos on painting on paper and mounting the ones you like onto canvases is perfect for me. I love this!

Great take on painting. You definitely need to do many paintings to get much better. Great idea to do a lot of painting on paper before getting to canvas to really save time and experiment on a smaller scale before going to canvas. Nice style in pour painting. Thanks for sharing!

Another wonderful video. You have generously shared so many of your techniques...and the paper idea is terrific ! Ironic,but I had used Viva paper towels in a swipe and laid it aside. It took a while to peel off of the plastic but well worth it. Almost feels like marbled leather.

Hi Karen , tha ks for the video, I have been pouring on yupo, the problem I have is that even months later they stick to each other or clean paper put in between . My medium is usually floetrol , any ideas?

Thanks for making this! Im just about to get started with acrylic pouring. I've got everything except for the paint medium. I bought some 15 canvases that were half price at hobby lobby. But im afraid to do anything on them since im a beginner. Well! I don't have to be afraid because i can practice on water color paper huh? Wow that's a relief! I thought about using cardboard but idk if i can do that!?

Thanks for the great idea Caren. I have a few questions and would really appreciate your help. 1. Once you pour on paper how do you move around paint? do you stick it on a cardboard or something? 2. I am trying to use these papers as bookmarks. Any suggestion on how to protect back of page with colors? Thank you
@carengoodrich5 жыл бұрын
Kate agrawal no I don’t use cardboard, 140 pound paper is stiff enough on its own to tilt. I don’t have any suggestions for keeping the back of the paper clean. It’s a messy process!

Thanks for the great video. Is the paper foldable after you do the pour on it? I want to try pour painting to make a cover for a small book, but the particular cover I want to make needs to be folded. I am concerned that the paint will crack when I crease a fold. Thanks again!
@carengoodrich5 жыл бұрын
Cesar Diaz the paint itself is pretty flexible, but the watercolor paper might crack, especially if you are going to make a hard crease. Best to test it out and see if it does what you want it to.

Caren, this is awesome. I have done quite a few abstract paintings on paper--but not a pour. What finish would you recommend for pour paintings on paper since using Floetrol, there is no gloss?
@carengoodrich5 жыл бұрын
Dabney Dwyer I use brush-on Minwax Polycrylic, clear gloss, found in hardware stores. It also come in a spray.
