So glad you cant see the bugs.... and I think this is my favourite of all the flow pours I have seen ...thanks so much x Robyn from Australia
@JennyPost7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Robyn! Yes, it was a relief to cover that moth mark :-) Sad update to that story, though. I closed the lid to prevent moths that night and left it covered until the next night. The humidity of the water evaporating from that paint without air circulation caused an acrylic skin to come loose off the top of the plastic and plop right down into the painting. Lesson learned. I think I am going to do a follow up video.

I'm absolutely in *love* with your style of pouring! They're SO colorful! I love that they're as beautiful when viewed from a distance as they are up close. That's the thing that's so elusive with this style of painting (at least for me!). And you've nailed it, girl! Keep up the good work! What a gorgeous piece you made! If I may suggest, to avoid bugs getting into your paintings, you could buy a mosquito net for beds, one of those you hang on the ceiling. Very inexpensive but effective, plus the air still flows through. Keep up the awesome work!

Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺. I loved this pour. Very pretty color combo. I watched a video where they used pipes and connectors to build a frame to cover large pieces. . Pipes can be esembled to size and pulled down when finished. Another is a kids swimming pool. Hope you fine that helpful. Cheers..

Thank you! I loved the moth painting too! That is a sad story :-( I saved the painting from the moth, but then it was later ruined by an acrylic skin that fell into the paint (after I closed the cover). Did you see my new painting cover system in my newest video? It is my Dad's idea, and I think it was brilliant (but hard to pull off).

I like that you pour outside. What about trying a few cut outs on a big box, and covering the holes with screen. You could frame out as big of a size as you need, and cover all the openings with screen. I do this for resin, but I use super fine mesh, or dressmaking organza. Love your work. Have watched the rest now (I commented midway through the video) and loved it all. So lovely to see acrylic pours that inspire and give me hope! :-) So far have really only tried flip cups with a tiny bit of additional pouring but am going to try a pour now. Also really LOVE the Pebeo iridescent paints - am hoping they are available in the UK.

Hi there! I am so glad you liked it! As for going bigger, it took me a while to work up the courage, and I had almost convinced myself that smaller pours would - always - be better after several failed attempts with larger canvases. Once I started getting consistent results that I liked, I gradually started getting bigger. I did almost all flip cups for the first couple of months. I started pouring after a while as an attempt to get more control over the outcome. Flip cups are SO much fun though :-)
