I tried regular airbrush reducer and flow aid half and half mixed half and half with craft paint and got a fine mist. When I squeeze if fast it's almost got decent coverage. Slow gets some splatters that build up nice.

That’s awesome! I’ve never tried that half and half mix, but I wonder if it would prevent some of the thicker paints spray nicer 🤔 I’ll have to give that a shot!

I have seen this done with just water. Do you add the airbrush medium to ensure that it sticks .

stacey connick you can do it with just water but the consistency and opacity of the paint can suffer. The airbrush medium thins the paint without making it as runny as water does and without any change to the color after the paint dries. You can do it either way, the results may just be slightly different

You can use any acrylic paints and warm water .. Add your paints in a spray bottle and add hot water a little at a time and shake until its the right consistency then do your shirt and when it dries you press it or iron it for 60 seconds. You don't need to add the air brush Medium

The answer to my question may be a "no-brainer" to some, but, I need to know, myself. I'm wondering if I'm correct on how you can keep the paint from drying and clogging up in the nozzle and tubing areas. Do you just wash them out with plain water (or alcohol) after each use or what? Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! Yes, washing the nozzles out can help reduce clogging. I like to flush out the nozzle with water, or a little thinning medium occasionally, and remove the tube from the nozzle before storing the bottle. That prevents any paint from thickening or drying in the tube or nozzle for the most part.

Curtrice Ennis Denatured Ethyl alcohol breaks surface tension of water making it thinner and less viscous. I would keep a spare spray bottle with a 20% denatured alcohol in water around. Switch the nozzles to when done and the dilute alcohol should flush out every trace of acrylic paint. Incidentally, 20% alcohol is the base for a very good DIY acrylic airbrush reducer. The alcohol allows you to use less water for thinning the acrylic paint for spraying because the water will not have surface tension

Hello! Mine typically don’t dry out, as long as the seal on the bottle is reliable. Just give the bottle a good shake before use and it should be fine even after a few months.
