I agree with you about McCartney 111 . I won’t be conned into buying it . The Beatles recorded an appearance on The Ed Sullivan show on 14 th August and it was shown on 12th September 196&. The set was the same set they had done on Blackpool Night Out . Which I think was I feel Fine, Ticket to ride, Yesterday, Act Naturally, Help and I’m Down.

There was a clip of Ringo walking out of a house getting into a car with George waiting, it was in the Anthology for a few seconds... that could have been the Hard Days Night outake you mentioned. I'd never thought about it til now but it doesn't completely fit where it is in the episode so it might be why. I didn't think there was a colour of vinyl McCartney hadn't released of that McCartney III album the first time round. All those years ago. Good video. Loved this

I agree with you about the McCartney 3 release. I was excited about the Band on the Run album and was going to go for the half cut vinyl as I stupidly got rid of a lot of my old vinyl.but as the days go by ,I’m not so sure. I have three BOTR cds and I’m thinking why am I thinking about yet again getting the same album. The 25 anniversary Band on the Run was my worse purchase as I played the second cd once( how many times do yo want to hear a cd of interviews) .

I have a DVD that has all of the beatles live performances on Ed Sullivan including the 1965 one, it is available but I'm afraid I've misplaced it atm but when I find it I will update this comment Oh and it's an official release and includes the entire shows, not just the beatles with original commercials, very interesting watch

I agree with you on the McCartney albums. Talk about over commercializing! I fear they will do it to the Beatles output. Great show John. I value your honesty.

The deluxe A Hard Days Night edition ( 2 discs) came out 2002, Second disc has interviews with many involved with the film, very good, The film had been cleaned up as well, but expect todays technology would enhance that if used.

I found it its called "The 4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles" and seems to be around $20 ne, i also have the 6 Complete shows starring the Rolling Stones
