I love that you've shown different genres and techniques in this series. It came just in time, super motivating! When I saw you step recorded in Cubase, it inspired me to explore if Studio One has something similar, and yes, it is named "Patterns", so now I can step record those fast arpeggios for action cues. Now I hope I win, I only miss the Video Game course of the new ones, they are all great!! Thanks

@@ThinkSpaceEducationHello, Guy! Really love your channel for the last 3-4 years (or maybe more)! I hope you don't might me asking, but I have one idea for future videos... What do you think about getting a deep dive in some of your cues from your movies?) For instance, some action cues from Marvel's animation, or themes for Iron Man or Planet Hulk, or some action cues from Jackboots on Whitehall? I'm talking especially about action cues, since I find your orchestral action writing really strong, especially in Jackboots on Whitehall. I think it would be a really great thing for the new year to find out details about real-life examples of advanced action orchestration. Anyway, that's up to you! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

I have thoroughly enjoyed your Christmas series. What fun! I have learned so much from watching you compose using different techniques. Now I am back to finishing your "How to write music" course which I paused to get out our annual Christmas "audio" card, produced using Logic. Then, on to your new course I recently purchased during your sale, Sampled Orchestration. Can't wait. Fingers crossed to win a course! All the best for you in 2024.

Really enjoyed this series, so many cool things to explore for christmas, like bells, and then more bells, and then there is always bells, and never forget the bells. Yea if you don;t like the sound of bells do not even try and write a christmas song❤💙💚🤍🎄🔔. I also had a problem with getting sleigh bells, ended up finding a single shake sound and just lowered the velocity on each downbeat, sort of worked, buit a bit mechanical, trying to get the feeling of the horse trotting. So much fun exploreing music, thanks for all the wonderful christmas vids and ideas, enjoyed them all, I hope everyone has Merry Christmas and a great New Year🎉

Thanks for dressing up silly to cheer me up since I had such a terrible Christmas. :') even though this was probably my least happy Christmas yet, at least I've got you there to cheer me up.. although Arnold has a lot of charisma, I wouldn't be surprised if he talked the producer into letting him be the host of all future Think Space broadcasts..

@@ThinkSpaceEducation that's right, Im pretty sure I heard about that! And if so, I also heard the producers of the show asked Arnold if he knew anyone personally that had a talent for writing music to go along with shows and movies and such, and I guess Arnold just couldn't stop going on about this Howard Shore.. whoever that is... some gratitude there, eh!?

Great stuff, as always. Poor Arnold, cast out yet haunting nonetheless, like an unwanted house guest. John Williams is a great composer to emulate, but I've always felt James Horner and Alan Silvestri were better at writing action cues. It would have been interesting if you had channeled one of those two.

So ... if it has sleigh bells on it, it is a Christmas tune? And if you mute the sleigh bells it is just an ordinary action track? Wouldn't that be something to integrate into Cubases' GUI? A checkbox labeld "Christmas"? :D

We give students a track which is missing one crucial element which they add. So for Sampled Orchestration for example there's a a full orchestral track which is missing the brass. So students can focus on one thing at a time and get a result quickly without having to start from scratch. They then share their work in the discord channels
