I’ve always loved the idea of making Gutcruncher one with his Stratotronic Jet and turning him into Blitzwing’s default repaint/retool. Come to think of it, that’d be a great way to update a lot of the Action Masters and their vehicles. Anyone think a Sprocket with jeep and helicopter alternate modes would work?

Couple choices I'd make. Omega Spreem-siege Impactor Turbo Master-siege sixgun Powerflash-siege flywheels, use the tank half to homage his partner Drone. Rollout-earthrise Ironworks. Since that mold also has an excavator scoop in his chest.

Speaking of molds; how about talking about your favorite molds in general? Perhaps even mold retools you feel managed to be an improvement over the original? Like MP-55 Nightbird being a retool of Masterpiece Arcee and Energon's Roadblock for Inferno.

I’ve kind of made a living out of picking the retool over the original tooling and loving it- BBM Thrust, Siege Red Alert, Kingdom Grimlock, Legacy Knock Out, Velocitron Blurr, Velocitron Hauler, Evolution Axlegrease, Evolution Bludgeon, Evolution Twincast… the list goes on and on

Correction: Treadshot is NOT based on the Microman Magnum Robo. He's based on the Sunmayor Ohkawa 357 Magnum Robo which wasn't a Takara toy at all.

I got the Super7 ULTIMATES Banzaitron and I do like him. He’s basically a recreation of his original toy with modern joints and scales very nicely with current year Voyager class figures 😊

Interested ideas. Technically speaking Rad got a homage in the form of Cybertron Smokescreen(repaint of Crosswise). An idea for Takeoff could be a further retool of the Leadfoot variant of the Siege/Earthrise Mirage. You see, there was an actual Formula One car with a fan/turbine at the back (Google Brabham fan car). With a fan piece added and some extra tooling, not only can you get a new Actionmaster toy, you call back to Leadfoot's original Rotorforce gimmick. Also I like your idea for Skyfall, but lore wise an Autobot seeker mold sounds awesome.

If Turbo Master were to use the Broadside mold, he would: - Stay a Titanmaster, even Twin Twist kept his - Not have his massive sword, or at least include a fake piece similar to Armada Starscream - Need new tooling for the arms and legs, including rotors and connecting pieces Broadside's legs only tab into two places, tabs on the crotch and hooks on the arms. I'd rather see him from a new Incinerator, and maybe Windmill from a new FOC Vortex.

I always thought mainframe would be an easy retool of either soundwave or blaster. just change the chest and give him a tape buddy and i think he would sell quite well. though thats probably just me. I'm also surprised we haven't gotten treadshot again from the current warpath mold. they haven't done anything with it. also wondering if they'll use the tarn mold for him or gut cruncher... I also think rollout would work fine as a scoop mold. but then people would have had to buy scoop for that. (which is a shame i like the figure i just think IDW character assassinated him so people don't like him). i think windmill should just be a spinister repaint. we aren't ever getting an accurate windmill so thats my choice

Since Super 7 just straight up gave us a Banzaitron action figure part of me wants to see regular action figures of non transforming transformer toys (ones who canonically can't or don't transform.) There are a few that can populate an action figure line, such as Beast Wars transmutate, Animated Sari Sumdac, Nightbird, even that robot that those kids built in that one G1 episode that everyone hates

Skyfall did have a modern-ish toy. It was a Walmart exclusive repaint of Universe 2.0 Silverbolt. I like the look of Windmill. I'd like to see Beast Machines Obsidian in his colors, or Earthspark Megatron for something more recent.

In regards to Take-Off, the details on the abdomen look more like cooling fans to be. And that, combined with the name Take-Off and the very chunky wheels on the shoulders, plus the fact that he's overall very angular, give me the impression of an off-road vehicle meant for jumping. So if you were to take that approach, you could do him as a dune buggy like Beachcomber.

Interesting video. I've always loved Actionmasters. One of the greatest tragedies of the franchise was the cancellation of the Botcon Actionmaster set. I'd love if Hasbro released them at retail. I think the mold choices were great: Sprocket and Rumbler: Trigger-happy Skyfall: Highbrow Gutcruncher: Blitzwing I would like to see the following: Kick Off, Axer, Circuit: SS86 Jazz Thundercracker: Siege Seeker mold Gutcruncher: Hardhead or Warpath I do like TJ's suggestions especially the Broadside repaint. I've seen a Digibash of Generations Springer as Take Off which I liked. Part of me wants to see Charger repainted from SS86 Slag. Their function and tech specs are very similar. I also think a triceratops mode would suit Charger.

The modern Jackpot is a freakin' joke. From the chosen mould to the QC issues. Plus he's obviously supposed to be a Ferraro Testa Rossa. I'm using a Battle Master Airazor to make a better Sights. Kick-Off is almost as bad. Slicer is pretty good even if the deco was a little off. Krok is one of my planned projects, since the official one is expensive to get. I'll use a Megatron, but I'm going to ditch the Fusion Cannon / wing tips to give him more of a UFO look to be a sort of counterpart to Cosmos. Battle Master Skullcruncher will serve as Gatoraider since they transform almost identically. Axer & Circuit: Not sure yet. Definitely needs to be from a car bot that uses the front-end-chest configuration. Gutcruncher: I'm thinking making him from a 3rd party Roadbuster figure. I'm also going to do his jet vehicle as a transformer from a Maverick figure. Mainframe as Teletran-1 was pretty awesome!! I've seen it repainted into his original colors and it looks great! Doublepunch: Not sure yet. Will likely use bot with a mechanical scorpion alt mode or a heavily modified Insecticon. Treadshot: Already have a Generations Warpath I bought specifically for him. And I have a spare Lionizer as a base for Catgut. Banzaitron: I'm making him from RID 2015 Warrior Sideswipe. Mostly because the chest is pretty close. Not sure yet how I'm going to tackle Razor-Sharp. Skyfall: I'm leaning towards using a Legacy Metalhawk. Top-Heacy is a no-brainer from TR Ramhorn's Rhino-tank vehicle. Rad: Definitely a motorcycle, but I really dislike non-Junkion bike-formers in my collection. But at least I already have an official Lionizer in the right colors. Take-Off: No idea how I would handle him. There is a suggestion on the wiki that he could have been a triple-changer, so maybe Springer? Screech would definitely be based on TR Ptero's Pteranodon vehicle. Sprocket: I think the TR Triggerhappy mould works best for Sprocket. I think his kibble looks more like a jet and I'd rather his Attack Cruiser have the helicopter mode. Speaking of which I'd use Legacy Elita One as the Attack Cruiser since it can pull off a helicopter mode pretty well. (NOTE to SELF: Try doing it with Legacy Strongarm as well.) Rumbler: Same as Sprocket. Not sure what to do for the wierd ATV exo-suit. Charger: Not sure yet. Because of the gun in the gut, I'm kinda leaning towards TR Highbrow. Fire Beast would also be based on TR Ramhorn's Rhino-tank vehicle. Rollout: Not sure, but I'd rather he have wheels than treads. Overrun: I've seen a custom Energon Bulkhead done up as him, and it works pretty damn well. The Spinister mould might work well for his vehicle which is also a helicopter. Powerflash: He's clearly supposed to be a Harrier. I think CW Quickslinger would work best for him if I can get the nosecone to flip down to form the chest using the combiner joint mechanism. Not sure about the backpack partner. Turbo Master: Has to be a Highbrow based figure. Will be a much more heavy mod than Charger. Omega Spreem: Easy choice for the base figure. WFC Impactor. Just needs a new head and different accessories. Windmill: I've seen him as a digibash of both Highbrow and Spinister. A kitbash using both of them could work.

Skyfall WAS going to get a figure, actually. It was going to be a retool/repaint of TR Highbrow as part of unreleased Botcon 2017 sets. Along with Sprocket, Action Master Optimus Prime and Megatron, and some of the vehicles/partners as Titan Master vehicles/weapons. There's a post from "Pete's Robot Con" about it. And that really sucks, because those sets were awesome, way better than the two we got. I would have expected you to use Jhiaxus as Powerflash, since it's close enough and barely has wings.

I remember Action masters. I hated the entire concept as a kid and it represents the death of the original G1 run to me. One of my goals as a customizer is to make a full set of transforming Action Master figures.
