Great action girls. Learn to keep your rod tip high to maintain pressure on the fish, have the drag run more freely and lift the rod and wind down. 👍

Loosen and let the drag do the work more, ease up on the pressure on the fish, and let the rod and reel tire the fish out. Id say thats why you straightened your hook. Keep the drag tight but noso tight it lools like youre getting pulled in! Your vids popped up on my feed, loved them and your rawness and ability to just enjoy. Keep them up

Sit a live herring under a balloon then when the salmon swim past you will hook up even if u don’t see them. Will also get sambos and kingies this way.

Love watching your vids, you’re doing a good job. A bit of advice on your leader when on the stones, have it about 2 rod lengths to minimise the braid rubbing & potentially busting you off.

Have a look at pelagic pursuit on KZbin, Matty explains it better than I could. I use the same way & have never had an fg fail, even with sharks. Only thing I do differently is when I’m using lighter leader is to grab the leader in my teeth after the twist while I’m tensioning it.
