Bro I grew up in Woodside Queens, about a mile from that Pub, Saint Sebastian church is across the street from this Pub, I was baptised there. I can't believe I NEVER went to this pub. I see its still there today, I will definitely be going next time I visit NY.

Used to live a block from Donovan’s and can confirm the hype is real! Was my go-to bar for all types of occasions. It has everything from NFL Sunday crowd to Sunday dinner crowd. The staff is always friendly - shoutout Christine behind the bar! My favorite burger was always the Woodsider (Bacon)! Baklava spitting the truth as always here!

Man, I've fucked with FTD heavy from the very beginning, and Action longer than that obviously, and in that time, I've had so many beautiful culinary experiences myself, spanning various countries and continents. I'm blessed. But right now, for the past month, I'm going through, hands down, the hardest, most difficult, period of my entire life (right behind when my pops passed), and while I'm watching my first FTD in a while since this all happened, I feel more blessed than usual just to be enjoying it while eating a tuna sub from Subway with harvest cheddar Sun Chips and a Brisk iced tea- this shit is, no joke, slapping more than usual, and doing so while I watch my brother Action live his best life, living vicariously through him, makes it all that much better. I've had my whole life uprooted, my world taken from under me, but I feel alright in this moment and blessed for the past I had, the fact I'm alive and breathing through whatever I'm going through, and hoping for a much better future. I'm in the belly of the suck right now... this is a big fat suck... but I'll come out of it, I know it. This episode reminds me of the good times we have in our own city which we can sometimes take for granted as they're happening... "we were living in a golden era and didn't even know it" type shit. All these simple staple places, and simple casual encounters with strangers... that is life.

I live down the block and love his recurring Woodside props...previous episode had him at Rico Pan bakery and Peking BBQ I think, both a block away. With Little Manilla further down the street, NY's best Thai Food on 39th ave down the street and further down woodside ave and broadway in Elmhurst, and being located centrally between Sunnyside and LIC, Astoria, Elmhurst and Jackson Heights, you really can't beat Woodside for food. Flushing a quick 7 train ride away.
