Full Trip Taiwan Taoyuan Airport to Downtown Taipei (Immigration, SIM Cards, ATM Usage & Train Ride)

I arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport for my second trip to Asia. Watch this video to see how I navigate from the airport to Downtown Taipei via public transportation. The airport, train, and train station look modern, spacious, and clean. The platform screen doors add an extra level of safety, and I enjoyed the city views during the train ride. 😍 Interesting to learn that they allow only one e-sim card per passport. Airport MRT now has special fare, from Taoyuan airport to Taipei main station ticket fare is NT150, it save you 10 NT.

Great video. We went to NYC in September 23, we watched lots of your videos & Jon Barr’s channel before we arrived, when we got to JFK we were upto speed on how to use air train & subway. We booked tickets to Taipei, arrive mid May, we been struggling to find videos with information on arrival at the airport, but Actionkid to the rescue! Thanks for making this, the non edited vlog style videos are so good. What sim card did you end up going with? We plan on doing a full loop of the country of Taiwan so the T pass might not be our best option. Enjoy your holiday.

We lost a cabin bag checked in in Montreal in July and went through the lost luggage ptocess. We got it back 12 hours later. The process worked well with scanning the bag tickets to find it.

11:15 This data point is from Aug 2023 so hopefully it's changed: the downtown Taipei station check-in can be very picky on your itinerary. Needs to be >3hrs before your flight. Also, all segments on your journey must be directly flown by CI/BR/CX etc. So for the time being this effectively precludes transfers and multi-leg journeys for CI/BR because they only have directs from Taipei. CX might work but don't have 1st hand data...

It’s very wise to have a TPASS here, which plan can make unlimited travels with Taoyuan Airport MRT, Taipei Metro System, buses, YouBike in four cities including Taoyuan, New Taipei, Taipei and Keelung. We have president election at January 13th. What’s more, at 12th, there is lots of election activities in front of President’s office building and other places. You can experience it if you want! The result of new president will coming out at January 13th 16:00. I’ve seen your much metro videos before. They are all excellent works. Hope you will have great time in Taiwan! If you have enough time, you can go visit to Keelung, Taoyuan and other countries. These countries have different scenes from Taipei, which is also beautiful.

Yes, the TPASS has already been very worth it for me. I already used it for the Taoyuan Airport MRT, Taipei Metro, buses, TRA to Songshan and all the way to Jiufen!
