WOW! Danielle Steele has done it again and to have ("half-pint") Melissa Gilbert playing the part was a real treat to watch her again in this loving movie.

I'm also saddened by the loss of Brad Johnson from COVID-19. He was a good man and actor. Gone but never forgotten.

I'm really impressed with Mellissa Gilbert's performance in this. Very organic and believable, and wonderful French/English accent. She is not playing herself or Laura Ingles (which I love and grew up with, by the way) but so wonderful to see her playing a different character magnificently!! Bravo!!

Def didn't want this movie to end. Love the relationship between Matt + Pip. No one commented about her dead husband and best friend Andrea's betrayal, especially her letter. Very sad about Brad's passing. Such a handsome man.

It has been nice seeing little Melissa as a grown up. I finally placed Brad Johnson, too. He was the bad guy sniper / gun fighter in Louis L'Amour's Crossfire Trail (starring Tom Selleck and Virginia Madsen) movie back in the 1980's or 90's. I wasn't aware he had passed.

The homeless shelter scenes were far fetched. If they twisted peoples arms until they gave in to do assignments they didn’t want to do, they would have difficulty getting volunteers. It was over the top but played into the story line. Great film.

Why can’t we appreciate the one we have then the one we lost - Isn’t the lost has bring our sense to keep and care as hardest we can - for the one is still hear with us ? But often we Hurt ourselves and hurt the only child is there -- not doing much for her no cooking after she gets home … on the first day of school or ,,, just that’s how it is usually- cause grown up are much more lost compared to kids - !!! Grown up can’t move on as much as kids can - we are not as flexible as our kids are …

Knowing her accent is fake makes it so weird but I watch shows where people are from the UK, like Camilla Luddington from Greys anatomy or Charlie Hunnam from sons of anarchy, and them talking without their accents don’t bother me. 🤷‍♀️

Melissa is a great little actress but the accent was not good and hard to ignore. It looked like they botoxed her lips, maybe that created the fake accent.

@Elizabeth2024fjb l thought the same abount her accent. At first, l thought it was Russian. Yeah, it's hard to listen to it. They are supposed to have experts for her to master a French accent. Even American accents are so various depending on different parts of the country. A British accent could have been easier to pull off. Sorry, my opinion.

I will speak from what I know. Melissa Gilbert's character of a sad or depressed person for her loss is not believable! Sad or depressed women do not care about wearing lots of makeup, having their hair colored or fixed. It would have been much better if her character had started with out any makeup whatsoever or her hair all done up then gradually as she got to feeling better put makeup on etc.. this would have made the movie much better

This type of movie is so unrealistic. Apparently she has NO MONEY worries. A whole summer at the beach without working. Coming back to a beautiful house which must cost mega dollars. Real single parents don't have all of that. Most of us had to work two jobs to support our children and worried how we were going to make it.
