Monoliths are down-leveled to your level +5 if you're UNDER leveled..so if you go in as level 31 and think you're hot shit killing a 58 mono, it's actually just a 36 mono. Small point, but important

The hand gestures are hilarious. Very helpful content ive used several of the boot camp vids to refresh myself as I havnt touched LE in over 2 years. There is currently a bug for some people where you can't access the chest in the middle island after completing the three level 90 monoliths, the cut scene will not play and there's still a donut of empty space around the chest. EHG knows about it, they have said on the forums they have a internal fix and hope to release it "soon" whenever that is. Just putting this here in case someone is having that problem currently. So I guess it's start another character time until the hotfix.

At least there are plenty of builds that are amusing to play. Currently enjoying Icicle Marksman, Static Orb Sorc, Master of Vines Druid and Hammeright VK.

Not sure if they implemented a fix. I had this happen today, I thought i did something wrong and needed to max stability instead of doing the third quest, killing the boss and getting my blessing. After I started building stability again I went back to the middle after a few echoes and then the "cutscene" played and I unlocked empowered monoliths. Not sure what triggered it, but if someone reading this is stuck try doing a couple echoes and go there again as it fixed it for me.

This series has been a big help for me. Im just starting just picked it up on Christmas with a gift card and i dont regret it. Been pkaying POE for a few month but it was just annoyingly complex. But i thought D3 was way too simple. This is right in the middle So this series has been good giving me a good general understanding

You're never getting extra XP for going into a higher zone, well kinda. If the level you're going to is 10 levels (or more) ahead of you, you gain XP as if they were 5 levels ahead of you. As lvl 31, going into a lvl 62 zone or lvl 66 zone, in terms of XP is the same for you.

One thing I couldn't figure out was,if you transfer to monoliths straight away when you can, don't you miss alot of passives and idol slots from the campaign?

You can get them all fairly quickly in the campaign. When you open the map you can see how many passives and idol slots you have left to get (in the bottom left of map). If you just concentrate on the quests that give them to you (says what you receive at the bottom of the quest) you can finish them off pretty quick than enter monoliths.

If you start the monolith of fate as soon as it unlocks and you skip the rest of the campaign, aren't you missing out on passive skill points? I mean, there are quests that reward passive skill points.

Good overview. But you missing the fact, that going the right route, you need to choose the right answer in one mono and kill the architect in the other. then you didnt explain how to farm bosses in the echos and whats corruption.... where are the tips and tricks? seems like a general explaination

I just bought the game few days ago and I'm a bit lost.. Usually I like to do all stories and side quests before starting end game contents... but with this game it seems to be wrong. I'm lvl 52 with my Necro and I'm doing some story quests/side quests and I have some questions: - if I do end game contents and finish the story later on, all those contents (story areas) will be at lower level and therefore very boring or will they scale up ? - what about the loot if I'm level +20 or more and I resume my story mode... all loot in those areas will be crap ? - if I prefer to finish the story first and then do the end game, let's say that I finish all these activities at lvl 65, will the monolith things island will scale up and do I have to do them first at level 55 ? thanks for your video and thanks in advance for your help

finish the story, it gives you bonus idol slots and passive points, which are mandatory to make an endgame build. loot-wise, loot is crap everywhere. i have TERRIBLE loot in 300 corruption mono with 250% item rarity, still drop the most useless things ever, so dont be scared, loot was, is and will always be bad unless you get incredibly lucky :D

It's best if you think of loot as bases to craft on for upgrades, rather than upgrades in themselves. It's _very_ rare to have a great item drop naturally, but it's far more common to have a decent or even a good item drop naturally _that you can make better through crafting._ I don't think this will change as it seems like this is what EHG wants loot to be, but thinking of loot as bases to craft on for upgrades should help somewhat with that feeling of never getting good items to drop.

@@jcm2606 No, im at the point, where anything craftable is NOT an upgrade. I need either LP with perfect affixes or TIER 7 drop with other bonuses I want/need, which is near impossible, unless id play for a year and grind nonstop, which - at this state - is SO boring, so no, thanks.

So I have a few keys for the sactum but I skipped that mission during the campaign so I don’t have the waypoint to get to it and now I have no clue how to get there. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find it. So my advice to new players do all the side missions.

Talking about choices, where do we select our factions? Its for online gameplay right? Or do we need to be on a multiplayer game to be able to choose?

Factions aren't in yet, they're still being worked on. Right now the only trading system is basic item gifting, which requires that the recipient was playing alongside with you when the item was dropped.

You missed 1 important info which was bugging me yesterday... Do I have to do Quest1 and Q2 on emp mono or do I just gather max stability and kill the boss in Q3? Do I miss something if I go just for the boss? ALso does map mods affect or corruption affext boss fights? xD

I know map mods do affect boss fights. Realize it when the emperor of corpse's health regenerated when it charges it's soul bomb, a one shot mechanic I have to run away from with my melee build. The mod "enemies regenerate health when not damaged" was on.

Dear Aaron thank you for this nice video again. Now I would like to share with all player here, mostly new one my thinking. I am playing this game since start and i am mainly a solo player. let me tell you that for the solo side it is a complete mess. Eleventh hour game has killed for high level play more or less all iconics builds as Paladin, Spellblade, shaman, Void Knight, Beastmaster etc...just remaining few build which can be played at high level. Sorcerer, Necromancer (completely cheated), Druid and Lich. All characters skills was done mainly by the devs thinking only and mostly Multiplayer. A real mess for solo player.Inspite that you are quite close to the Devs EH teams (maybe a little too much to stay neutral) could you please for all, make a topic / video focusing on solo play? i am sure that many players will appreciate.

They're global, as far as I know. They apply everywhere, even outside of monoliths.

That’s is correct. However, depending on how you play, it may be faster to gear and level through monoliths before going back to cruise through the campaign.

The base skills/passive are enough to do empowered monos with pretty much no gear. You should be able to res cap and get a couple relevant stats here and there. And that should be enough to get to and farm empowered monos on most builds.

Does Corruption 'stay' in the Mono sites? Like, I popped one Corruption spot on my way thru the FIRST Mono, does that stay there if I go back?

If you added corruption in a normal timeline then it will still be there if you go back to that normal timeline, but it won't be there if you go to the empowered version of that timeline or if you go to a different timeline altogether. Basically, corruption only applies to the specific timeline you added it to.

Dungeons all start at Tier 1 and you have to complete the Tier to unlock the next Tier up too Tier 4, they are not all unlocked at once

The problem is that I and many others can't get to empowered monoliths because there is a bug preventing us from clicking on the box. The cutscene won't play. So, yeah...that is a thing preventing any progress right now.

You don't "lose out", but you will need to go back into the story to get them later after you level some more.

No reward if you die.

If you die then you lose the rewards for that echo. You'll need to try a different echo for a different reward, or retry that original echo to progress deeper into the monolith. You'll eventually be able to reset the whole monolith so you'll be able to rerun the echo for rewards later on down the line, so don't worry too much about it. If you're not strong enough to survive even the first few echoes then you may want to come back to the monolith later on once you've leveled up some more and/or gotten better gear.

why are the monoliths call the "end game"? you can start them a couple of hours in and you are going to spend a huge amount of time in them monoliths are not the "end game", they are 95% of the game because the story / campaign is currently barely existing
