The bridge grind having snippets of art during conversation with other characters to suggest they’re still farming 15 orcs at a time is really good storytelling. Small bits like that are the real art. Attention, precision and love are a part of this story you can’t deny. It’s also a unique protagonist, not wanting to destroy the story and be OP, instead wanting to learn about the isekai in general, as well as the new information present in a living world mirroring the video game he’s nearly mastered.

I like this story! Sure it’s frustrating at times because you want the mc to do like most protagonists would do, but instead he acts just like you’d expect a child in his predicament to act. It makes the Shouta feel more like a real person.

To me though I just don’t care about the “main character” show the actual main character dealing with accepting life and protecting what they believe is important. Instead of this frustratingly boring and uninteresting hero character. Like bro is purely getting cucked in the game he got transported to. You don’t have to be the strongest but do something anything!!! I can understand if they want to convey a depression but it’s latent. It’s just so confusing in what the author is trying to accomplish with this story.

Thing is, he isn't a "Child", he's a grown man working an office job and the "greatest beta player" who, with his knowledge of the game, was able to clear the final quest, and yet he always seem to just stumble around with his fingers up his bum, seemingly unable to comprehend that he's just like in the game with just more realism added to it, and despite finding tricks and tips out, make a minimum effort to use them or just ignore them altogether, he still hasn't even tried his gluttony skill. I like the guy but my biggest grip with him is that he look and act like a newbie who only got knowledge of the shortcuts and typos of the game via internet knowledge and is just now starting to put them into practice, it feels nothing at all like he's a pro gamer we were told he was

Yep, I am 45 minutes it... it's turning into gutter trash. The MC has completely abandoned his own personality and is being ruled by the personality of this person he inhabits. He is following the story-line for zero reason. He has advanced knowledge of the world and is not exploiting it or testing it other than the slime section which he knocks himself out. Does not even try to do it again expecting something to be in a book where he can find it. It's pain to listen to him describe that he has great knowledge of the world but he just cows like a simpleton and never stands up for himself. He just clams up like a feckless chump. I don't feel sorry for him. It's like he WANTS to be biffed around.

The fact that his sister can resist the intimdation aura proves normal ppl can, not just the hero. I wish the author didn't make the MC cower when the bully was harassing his sister. It's fine if he doesn't say anything out of fear, but apologizing and saying he will get his sister to apologize is disgusting. Especially, when it's made apparent that ppl can resist the aura. It's even weirder that Butao' feelings is the one that took action and not the MC. It makes the MC more pathetic than Butao which is very lame.

I think it's a more realistic way to characterize the mc though. He was just a regular gamer who could only be brave when it was just a game and there were no consequences. But now it's real and it feels real, which he wasn't prepared for. Any normal person would be scared and isn't used to having super powers or mc story armor. And it's not that his sister resisted the aura completely, she was still absolutely terrified and crying, it's just that she did her best to just stand there rather than collapse. It was all she could do to keep standing. If anything the mc was doing a better job of it because he could actually move and speak while the aura was being released whereas she was completely frozen. It's just that the mc doesn't have any confidence in himself and is scared about the reality of the situation vs trying to be a hero. Completely understandable the way I see it.

I think it's slightly intuitive. The only advantage you have in that shitty ass body is your brain and your memories of events, dungeon locations etc. and without that you're basically worthless. You can't always be sure you have special powers.

What made him even think to try a spell he hasn't learned yet? Seems like an odd thing to try out and it just so happened to work. If we saw him try a bunch of random stuff and fail at most then it would be more justified. But it seems insanely convenient that the one thing he tried worked and he didn't even have a good reason for trying it. He was suprised it worked and doesn't know why it worked.

I really how hope the childhood friend does not become the love interest. As soon as her new love interest loses a duel she is ready to leave him. She was also ready to leave the school beacuse of that. The only redemption arc that would satisfy me is if she ends up with the hero and is loyal and stops flip flopping. Anytime something isn't going right she tries to run.

Just from the content in this video she seems very self-serving and ready to ditch anyone as soon as they no longer benefit her. I think giving her a love interest that she doesn't give up on would be the ultimate redemption, since her abandoning ppl (specifically love interests) is the main flaw I see in her.

In my understanding she was fed up with MC because (the original owner of the body) was nothing like the current MC it's stated couple time that he was lazy, possessive etc,so I think it's understandable why she (at the end) started to have mixed feelings towards MC otherwise yes I agree that the way she was acting with red haired guy at the end was weird as hell.

So the protag(real MC)is the character that was expelled due to sexual harassment of the girl and harassment to in-game MC. But for what i have seen so far even in the girl's memories , he doesnt seem like a person to do sexual harassment(even though he is lazy) and the girl wanted to void the contract any way possible and get him out of her life by any means necessary. So it could be possible from in-game mc eyes the situation does seem harassment way but actually totally isn't So the story does go on to play it as truth while it maybe wasn't

This manga is good, BUT the main plot is SLOW as hell(which is great for binging or casual reading). The plot is; The Video Game story(as mentioned before the isekai), the fatty's glow-up, the adventures of power-leveling with the side characters, and figuring out who the "beta-players are"(pretty much "among us" + "criminal minds") and the reason their messing with the Main Game plot. It took a while to reach crucial points of the main plot, and so if you like binging action manhwas like these, you are in the right place. The side characters, apart from the FL, need more fleshing out for they fall flat. I can only guess in later chapters will they be more "alive" in character.

It is insane how simple minded most readers and mangaka writers are. If you can make a skinny girl with no muscle be the strongest person around, in 10000s of reading material the world over, how can you not make a fat person, strong or fast as hell? @@ifergot they actually do make follow ups to their stuff if there are enough chapters. Of their latest uploads was a follow up to a older manga he reviewed.
