Thank you for posting this. It helped me to understand the set-up and the PSI.

Really had the system rolling today, nicely done! You should make another video of fire sprinkler durability experiments

Nice! And I also got to pull the fire alarm for the fire drill at school today!

I think the problem with upright sprinklers and sprinklers that face down are that when they activate the water is so powerful that It goes everywhere but in the middle of the sprinkler. Sidewall sprinklers are different though.

In a real situation with proper pressure the water is enough to cover everything

Cool does the fire departments normally get called when they trip
@LNERMallard2 жыл бұрын
Depends if the fire panel they're linked to has a dialer. If so, then yes the fire department would be called.

You should get a manifold and connect four water based extinguishers at once. That would really up the power and capacity 🤌
@Kevin-mm6xm5 ай бұрын
Your residential water pressure is way more than necessary for sprinkler head operation. Tyco calls for minimum 7.2 psi for their 3/4 heads up to about 32 psi depending on area coverage. I know my homes pressure is 60 psi and NFPA 13 establishes a minimum pressure of 7 psi, so 100 psi is definitely overkill.
@FireAlarmDude59675 ай бұрын
100 PSI is the pressure at the extinguisher. That’s not the pressure at the sprinkler head. The water extinguisher’s discharge hole is only about a centimeter and a half wide, so the pressure at the sprinkler head is low. Not too high, these sprinkler heads had relatively poor performance compared to what they were designed to do

You need more volume (flow) and higher ceiling. upright and pendant sprinkler spray pattern isn't fully established with only 36" below to ground.
@FireAlarmDude5967 Жыл бұрын
This isn’t exactly intended to be a fully realistic setup. It’s nearly impossible to get a realistic flow on a commercial head without expensive equipment.

what? How is this “shitting” on someone else’s video? You are absolutely welcome to go like, comment and watch whatever you want…this was literally just a video showing off this sprinkler demonstration I made and why I made it like I did. I don’t want viewers like you watching or commenting on my videos anyways

Also you ABSOLUTE MORON. The video I was showing and critiquing was literally MY OWN VIDEO. I made that video last year and I was showing the issues I had with it. So your entire argument about me raining on someone else’s parade is completely flawed. Douchebag
