Once you migrate DC to 2019, you need to let all sync up. Don't demote old DC hastily because SYSVOL needs to be replicated, give it at least a day. This is important if you have lots of GPO set up.

Thanks for such an in depth and well explained video. Great Job! I have hit a small snag though, when I try to change the 'Domain Naming Master' FSMO, the Operations Master doesn't see my new 2K19 server, it only allows the option to change to itself, the 2K12 server, any idea why this would be?

Good morning, sir, Thank you for this video which is very accurate. I would like to know if you can advise me on a migration, here is our infrastructure: 2 sites ( different cities, they are connected by 1Gb fiber, symmetrical) We have a forest and 2 sub-domains, each site has a DC for the forest and a DC for each sub-domain. The DCs of each site are synchronized. I would like to know which server I should start with. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards

Thank you for this video! I have a question, I already have two domain controllers (2012 R2), so what you recommend in this case, should I first promote the new server (2019) as a third domain controller then transfer roles to the new DC and demote the old two DCs, or first i demote one DC and leave one only, then i promote 2019 as second DC and follow migration step as explained in this video? Thanks again
