I fished that pier over 40 years use sardine heads and live bait one of the best spots is the end right corner check out the names by one of the water outlets on the pier good luck 👍

Over 40 years? Nice, then should take your advice to heart. Listen to it all. Also hoping it'll help other viewers also. The names? Sounds like part mystery heh, I'll try to remember. Did have now 2-3 other mention end of the pier. Though the right side was taken when we got there. Say one thing wind was CRANKING at the end. Often that windy?

Hey my brother you should try mudsucker, jumbo Minnows or a bluegill. I was there a week ago caught a 30incher off mudsucker. I caught a few mudsuckers by the shore to your right. Because the store is very pricy.
@hershisadventuresincalifor97258 күн бұрын
Right on for the info! We've tried Mudsuckers twice before. Probably just bad luck but no bites. Normally don't think of them. We did try to buy Ghost Shrimp that day but two bait shops were out. On our next trip (already filmed) we cast out some Jumbo Sardines, Shrimp & Anchovies. Yeah they are costly heh. What bait/rig set up to catch them? Ken & Lea

18:07 dangit! I felt the rig snap. I hate when that happens.
@hershisadventuresincalifor97254 күн бұрын
I hear you, fairly sure I felt it also heh. For a BRIEF moment, thought to myself. Naaaa that didn't just happen. When I noticed many other fishermen looking right at me, I knew. Yup the f**cker broke off! Was a day of bad rock snags also.. Well we hope you're enjoying the vids, despite our errors heh. Tight lines... Ken & Lea

That area is a nursery

ROFL I heard that... though I'm sure at times can get some large ones there. Also heard stories and seen photos to back it some. Mostly saying end of the pier. Thinking next time we may cast out Sardines. Least it wasn't a no bite day!

I always wanted to go there but hate crossing back to sac for a fee unless i take long way home. What size weights are u guys using? If they were really attacking it from the surface I would try a flutter spoon drop it to the bottom and work it back up.
@lealongacre52638 күн бұрын
@@HangNFish hello, we are using 4oz weights. I agree with the toll fee, we have to pay $7.00 everytime we go there. Thank you for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video 😊
@hershisadventuresincalifor97258 күн бұрын
Yeah was 3oz-5oz. Flutter Spoon... one lure I've never heard of. Though I have a feeling what it may be. Chances are something we'd have to pick up.
@HangNFish8 күн бұрын
@@hershisadventuresincalifor9725 if u dont like a flutter spoon u can alwayd try a wobbler spoon that is. Smaller and only weighs 3/4 oz
@hershisadventuresincalifor97257 күн бұрын
@@HangNFish Yeah Lea mentioned we actually have some Spoons. We'll have to look. Normally we adjust our tackle before each trip. Think we need a permanent set up for each type of fishing, so we can Grab & Go! Funny for Spoons first fish that came to mind was Trout. I admit I've little experience with them.

Is that a no fishing license pier?
@hershisadventuresincalifor97257 күн бұрын
As far as I know yes it is. I think all piers in the Delta/Bays are free to fish. Best to double check though. Fish on boss... Ken & Lea

what are they throwing in the water ??? plastic bags ???3:52
@hershisadventuresincalifor97256 күн бұрын
Right on for mentioning that... I can't say with 100% certainty but I do believe they were tossing Moss/Vegetation. I see a time or two, then the ones in the video, on the more distance view of him tossing looks like Moss. Also seen them toss other garbage in the garbage. Look like they cleaned it up nice! Ever fish there yet? Ken
