Ignorance is their biggest strength. If they knew anything or solidified any consistent position, they could be refuted. Instead, they are just critical of other positions; no knowledge required.

I've never met an activist that I liked as a person. And I've met quite a few; it's the nature of my job. They've all been incredibly shallow, boring, and aggressive personalities that have little regard to listening and introspective thought.

The Guardian (hahaha) has a page titled "Deaths Inside: Indigenous Australian Deaths in Custody" It's worth a read. Apparently a "death in custody" includes being killed in a car crash before police even arrive. In fact, out of the total 186 deaths they list, 25 of them were road accidents while "in custody". Strangely, none of them were in custody in police or prison vehicles... they were all in custody in their own vehicles or in the vehicles of friends. Not sure how that works, but I guess we just need to listen and believe.

Yay - I have been doing public speaking engagements at Probis Clubs and Rotary Clubs for the past two years - with exactly the same message. Audience jaws drop and they JUST DON'T KNOW - it is absolutely appalling. At least my kids have listened to me... they probably won't grow up neurotic, morose, entitled, depressed and anxious... fingers crossed. I have 3 talks next week so the struggle continues... what I have noticed over those two years is that people are sick to death of the media telling them what they should think, reporters giving opinions, reporters interviewing reporters... no wonder people are abandoning mainstream media.

I think it depends on what the situations are. We have made great progress in the development of technology such as newer computers, phones, TVs, etc.. but at the same rate have massively regressed in regards to social acceptance examples of this would be things like some countries jailing people for "misgendering" someone, people being assaulted for having different political opinions, and the absolute shit storm that has been happening in the US for the last few years.

It all comes down to being able to think things through. Some people can, some people try to and the rest couldn't give a cow's commission, so they don't bother to think things through. That bereft complex bunch of non-thinkers follow their leaders who, likewise, can't be bothered thinking. I am not highly intelligent and way back before I learnt how to think, I found thinking very hard, but I tried to learn. Today, I know I can think and looking back on my 70+ years, I've never been lazy either. Doesn't that make you think?

Maybe you have the same issue that we do in the UK. Activists here are part of a mostly left wing block, that would for instance prefer to talk about black men getting longer prison sentences due to imaginary legislation or bigotry, rather than the actual laws and policies that lead to men getting harsher sentences than women committing the same crimes. It's in all areas too, we have charity appeals here for money to educate little girls on the far side of the planet, yet each year boys graduate our schools by the thousand who are barely able to read their Mum's tattoos. Activists are generally ignorant as you say, but they are usually very keen on hiding other more important issues, Like the global warming alarmists who won't admit the planet was once much hotter than it is now, as well as much colder as in the last ice-age.

Agree with a lot of this. Your data of forest cover sounds suspect to me (ie "more forest cover now than 25 years ago"). Where did this figure come from? Is it like for like, or are you counting eg timber plantations as equivalent to native forest? And is there really true forest on these 'reforested' lands, or has it merely changed formal status from 'cultivated' to (eg) 'forested', or some such?

There is answer to your question, but Karl Popper which has tried to talk about it, but he explained that it is one things people never heart him about. There is a method to think the world invented by Plato and later by Aristotle called Essentialism (I use the name used by Popper in The open society and its enemies ). Fundamentally it cuts the words from the properties of the things to which they point to. Words become the knowledge and are attached to feelings. Popper says that they start from the language, the words and then try to make sense of the world, but it doesn't work without properties, so they fall back their emotion to give meanings. The other like me and you we look at the properties of things, try to understand and then we will put a word on it. For them hate-speech has no properties, it doesn't need one, negative emotion are its properties. Bell curve for them is racist, for us it's a distribution law. I'm curious, what are you gonna do, now that you aware of that knowledge? Well as the sign say Ignorance is bliss. Essentialism is worse than I.Q, people who use 'common sense' refuse to believe that a part of humanity has another way to think the world. I just check it seems people have start to wake up. If you don't believe me newdiscourses.com/2021/02/essentialism-logical-fallacy-plaguing-us-since-plato/

It doesn't matter what evidence that you bring to the table, your words are falling on deaf ears because once a person who is closed minded makes their mind up, there is no changing it. My Ex is a prime example of this problem, routinely she will cherry pick on words and restate your sentence as something completely different and then claim that you said it despite your comment is actually the opposite of what they claim. She did this recently with me and I pointed out what I had actually said, to which she immediately disagreed despite me recounting exact words to her in the way it was said and not what she thought I said. So the woke are an example of this... your arguments to them are like sweeping water up hill with a leaf rake. Going nowhere and futile. Talking to people who listen and understand is a different matter, they are few and far between.

Patsy dear, what Americans call 'baloney' we in Australia call 'devon'. The colloquial use of 'baloney' to mean 'nonsense' is overwhelmingly American, so you're using a colloquialism imported from America to try to make people think that an excuse for anti-white behaviour that was imported from America, wasn't. Also, what on earth is a 'chance to elevate an issue like this'? What was stopping everybody every hour of every day when there was no George Floyd and no C19?
