Keep your activity level constant , start with a stable calorie intake then adjust with weekly weight flucatuation

Thank you for the video! I find the whole thing quite confusing. I started brisk walking 4 and a half hours every day recently. I walk a distance of 16-18km within that time span. When I’m not brisk walking, I’m mostly sitting on the couch working on my laptop. My BMR is 1280 and I’m an average height, 30-something female, around 58-59kg. Am I moderate;y active or highly active? Is eating 2200kcals a day too much for maintenance?

My bmr is 2002. I'm 5'7 195 lbs 15% body fat. I work out 5 days a week for 1.5 hours weights and .5 hours hiit cardio and rest days I do 1 hr steady state cardio. The tdee calculator says for ppl who exercise 6 to 7 days it's 2600 to lose weight or moderate exercise 3 to 5 days for 2300 calories. I'm trying 2600 calories 200 g protein 50 g fat 325 carbs but I feel like it's too much. When I tried 2000 calories I lost 2 lbs of muscle and gained 1% body fat. What is my activity level and calorie for a deficit?

Thank you are the only one that though as the same way of me...i have always been thinking I'm not active in the same way all days so why i eat the same calories every day really thank you 🙏

If I burn about 1000 extra calories a day, which fitness level would I classify as?

The accuracy of machine calculators for burning calories is entirely to inaccurate to actually know if you’re burning 1000 extra. It would also depend on your heart rate during the exercise.

I regularly do 80 minutes home work out, and the rest of the day i just sit in front of my computer, then i sleep. And i'm always confuse of what level activity i am. So i just choose middle option (active enough, 5 times work out a week). I hope thats not so wrong 😂

I was wondering about that myself as I presume recovery is important. Which machine is likely to get damaged more? One that is used throughout the day at a reasonable rate, or one which is maxed out once a day. I don't know the answer, but I also think that the type of activity is important too.

Depends on how long you exercise for, the type of exercise you do and how intense it is. Between moderate and active I would say.

I am the same. I exercise daily for 1-2 hours. Running & hiit 3x a week, weightlifting 3x. I do feel like I fall into sedentary category as my NEAT is low. I’ve been eating 1400 cals thinking it’s a cut by 500 cals. But it seems to be my maintenance ☹️ how little should I really be eating!

@@meensbeans_ man that's too little of calories even for you it will damage your metabolism dont cut it any further and if you can go on an lean bulk to build up your calories and muscle ✌✌

Would you say it would be a good idea to use a calculator as a starting point, and after a few weeks, analyze results, and adjust accordingly until eventually finding about what your maintenance calories would be?

Yeah, that's exactly how the pro's do it. Track for five weeks. Discount the first week of weight loss due to the water loss. Then look at 4 weeks of data. If you are losing 0.5-1% of bodyweight per week stay put. If slower cut calories, if faster add them back

I have been using the formula for TDEE blindly with absolute trust and now i believe that my TDEE might be wrong because of overestimation on setting my activity level, a recipe for failure i have to say, now im restarting the machine once more, but this time im just gonna look for measures, body fat level and see how it goes and adjust my calories according to that, ill let you know how it goes

Your TDEE can change by as much as 500 calories in either direction, and genetics and occupation type are the big players, so a calculation is only ever a first guess! Good luck

Dude, they're a tool. If it says 2800, you eat 2800 but gain weight cut your calories or increase activity. These are a rough start.
