Acton Mainline freight 12 10 2015.

First big video from replacement computer , ive put everything I recorded into one file then rencoded it to 1080p mp4 its reduced file size from over 3 gigs to just over 1gig this is so I don't have to make a part 2 later have all I shot on one video . But look and decide if its ok for you if you don't like this let me know it takes longer to do but uploading aint so bad. all I left out were individual working title cards I took all the pics to do that but time this morning was catching up on me next time I will try and do that .

I had just arrived and that was coming into the station if signal would have been green i would not have got that there was also a freight just about to leave. as well nothing changes for me , starting like that before you can settlle . But if you think i was only there for just slightly over 2 hrs plus around 4 workings were cancelled it was not to bad , dont think i stood doing nothing for very long 47s get dirty pretty quick never seen one that did not have some form of leak somewhere , when first great western used them for the sleepers they had one in white for a while before they decided there first livery i went to old oak common one morning and it came out the servicing shed with a huge black oil stain down one side of the loco . Of all the people i know doing rail things none like class 47s i do the only to liveries i did not think suited them were virgin and freightliner green and yellow and nse i thought was terrible i was given a model of one in nse i changed it to br green looks much better.

+limehouse11 Bud I love the 47, 56, 37, 56 etc I just noticed compared to the Stock & the tail 47 it looked shabby, I grew up in the 60's n 70's watching train in and around NW London so I Love all the old class Diesels The Hymeck is my Favourite, 16, 33 the little Compton's The 56 made you jump a bit, I must say I Did nearly dropped the i-pad Great Work, Well Done!

Sometimes you wait for it relax then it happens the worst I had was in France ive upped the video its in Villeneuve St Georges yard off a bridge and the driver does me on full horn from a sybic loco ive had a couple but that was right beside me he was blowing for my mates behind me taking pics they possibly waved if you see him he does as well , they were possibly doing that to get me to jump or for horn effect all I can say is when you are next to it its loud , the stanier hooter is my favourite but have herd horns that sounded like wind laced long farting horrible sound that is kind of phut horn with slight smelly malice . maybe.

During the late 90s some came this way on one or 2 workings Sheerness To Mossend enterprise was one and the bitumen tanks from landarcy to grain another that though was difficult to get being a night move ive 1 pic of it passing here running around 7 hrs late. But I saw a lot of them on that one working to get more you had to either do Newport in Wales or Doncaster or Barnetby I saw over 100 of them some of them had been withdrawn by then the best sounding one I caught was at Bescot on a Saturday steel train I had big floor monitors then a surround system and big kenwood amp the sound of these going through that was amazing something like a high pitched jet with a thumping bass underneath amazing sound only saw 2 doubleheaded but there was regular double heading of then round London before I started video on aggregates trains . That 59s do now that was why those 59 were built unreliable locos possibly 56s as well but I like them too . Though seeing the 59 passing West Ealing with over 4000 behind the loco is amazing as well. Thanks for comment. ian.
