I loved Chris' story. A brutal death was Chris' inevitable fate, but he altered that fate from withering away due to disease to going out like a boss, saying fuck you to his killer and protecting his sister and the family's cargo. His father and sister thought he was too weak for the family business, but in the end he proved himself to be stronger than his father ever was. If you recall, the captain said his dad was the toughest man he ever knew, but eluded to the fact that he ultimately gave up the goods when faced with a pirate's rifle between the eyes. Chris went out on his shield. His father would have been proud, and that's all Chris ever wanted.

In the final scene of ZeroZeroZero, Emma is leaving the mansion of the just-murdered dealer, having calmly sat on a sofa with a bloody, dead body on either side of her while making a deal with the new boss for an upcoming shipment. As she's walking back to the car, with bodies laying everywhere on the ground, she shows a big, confident smile to the armed cartel soldiers she passes, displaying not friendliness, but fearlessness, and that she shouldn't be mistaken for being "merely" a small woman in their eyes. I really loved the Emma character, and also how capable and heroic the character, Chis, her brother slowly dying of Huntington's Disease, came to be. The series is deserving of being watched more than once.

That stuff on the boat, although I faintly remember the order of events, he failed. Speaking of that scene, I just read an article about the record number of shipping containers lost at sea this past year. There are containers worth hundreds of thousands of retail and frozen foods lost on the bottom of the ocean forever. I dunno I just though that was crazy. This drama got me sort of interested in the business of transpo; the global distribution game of goods, whether legal or illegal, seems absolutely insane.
