Why is Sam not in more films, he's such a brilliant actor and that voice is great! Also, in any interview I've seen, he's always down to earth and real... never a hint of self-importance or arrogance at all. Cool, guy!

Andrea Reisborough has proven beyond any doubt since this film that she's a complete chameleon able to perfectly take on any accent and inhabit the most diverse roles imaginable. It's seriously uncanny I was watching Disconnect and she was on screen for 10 minutes before I dimly recognized her. Same is true of Netflix series Bloodline. As well as The Kindness of Strangers where she plays a Nurse.

This 2010 release explores and deepens the human complexity of Pinkie and Rose. In addition to addressing the religious issue. Aspects overlooked in the 1940s. I love the performances of Andrea Riseborough and Sam Riley.

OMFG HES SO ADORABLE he kinda looks like my crush at school x3
Stuff Rowan Joffe, how dare he bastardise a great film. The original was set in 1947, just after the war and that is why it is so iconic, real people struggled. I adore the story of the Mods and Rockers and their class wars and fashion statements but this is wholly wrong. Does Rowan Joffe need a Mod or a Rocker because he has no imagination himself, if so, he should not discredit Richard Attenborough with this fakery and puff. What a load of insulting tosh from 2 giggling brats as well.
