Actor Michael Paré Interview (2021)

I talk to Michael about his shift from chef into actor in 1980, landing Greatest American Hero, the audition process of Eddie And The Cruisers and Streets Of Fire, recording an unreleased album, playing a werewolf in Bad Moon, and more.

That scene in The Philadelphia Experiment where he’s in jail with that transgender guy and the way Michael looks at him until he’s offered a smoke by the guy. Michael says yes and seems so happy. Good acting!!!❤❤❤❤

Such an outstanding interview. Mr. Pare is such a wonderful storyteller when I saw Eddie and the Cruisers i was very young and he had this mystique and inner turmoil about him as Eddie throughout the movie that was so believable he wasn't acting it was just a part of him I said to my older sister at the time forget his beautiful face as she was so taken by his appearance i said to her this guy can tell a story even at a very young age I was so captivated by his performance. Not to mention Streets of Fire. Anyway so good to hear this wonderful interview. So very genuine. Thank you for sharing this. Well done❤

I'm glad you talked about The Virgin Suicides. I remember thinking it was so cool to see him in it. It was a very small part but one of the most important details in the film! Sounds like he's had a nice life. He is the same age as my husband! :) Also, Chris, your interviewing skills are excellent. You just sit back and let the person speak and tell their story.
