I don’t know how to say this but I have friends that left California for some of the same reasons but have moved back. Let just say the grass is not greener on the other side. I am a Cristian and will work my butt off to keep our values and expectations. We can’t just sit back and watch we got to get involved.

All that needs to happen is for the NY Stock Exchange to move and that was threatened when the socialists in NYC wanted to put a tax on stock transactions a few years ago. Is that what you are talking about? There really is no reason for the financial sector to be in NYC. 1. with technology, it could be in Nebraska 2. people are afraid to commute into NYC so the quality of employees is poor and 3. tax to employees and the company.

Please pray for us that are forced to stay behind in California beyond our control. May God have mercy on those us left behind. Because of multiple health conditions since adolescence I am 60% why my family must remain behind.There are only so many trauma one level hospitals that are able to provide care that I require. I am welcome to visit other places however to remain I must have a support system for when become ill with for example the flu. Overall Roseville, Placer County , California is one of the nicest places to be considering my circumstances.

People that have any money should leave as soon as possible-isn't that law going to go in effect that TAXES you for leaving California? Or did it not pass? I think it would be unconstitutional. Many years ago, NY tried to tax pensions of people in Florida because the money "was earned in NYS" (it never went through but was proposed). Truly criminal

I tried this move to TN. I lasted 2 years there. It was not that great. Weather Shock is one thing you will get. Bugs, swampy climate and VERY EXPENSIVE city living. Nevada is my state and always will be.

I am a California gal that has lived in Illinois- Utah and Montreal -!I thought Montana would be good cuz closer to California and affordable when I moved here . Culture is not what I had hoped for - folks are not inclusive to new folks - even though I came here In 2011 . It’s like I am still new . I do most everything alone now that the kids grew up . Not a friendly place . Wonder what Tennessee was like that way - were they welcoming ? Friendly ?

For those moving to TN please leave CA behind and do not try to bring it to TN. I have lived here all my life in a farming community. Nash Family Creamery brought their dairy farm here from CA and set up in my small community on a farm that once belong to a cousin of mine. They have made wonderful neighbors.
