A lot of them loathe one another. Acting is one of the most competitive occupations out there. Jealousy is part of the business. When Colin Firth and Hugh Grant who are friends worked together on Bridget Jones between takes they would play a game thinking up the worst death scenarios for actors they hated. I'm sure many get on. But I've read many biographies about golden years A listers their careers and fueds.

I kind of relate to Emma Watson. Idk, i just grew up a different way to most around me, in the sense that i just don’t like unprofessional behaviour in a workplace etc. I believe in manners. I feel so out of place when someone is making vulgar jokes, gestures etc. From what i can gather, Watson felt equally uncomfortable being in a room with comedians who are ‘unprofessional’ on set. We’re not saying we’re stuck up and better than everyone else - we just do not fit in with these kinda people
@everythingisawesome29036 жыл бұрын
Emma Watson has always been a diva since her Harry Potter days. She got a cameo role in that Franco's movie, and still she thinks she is better than everyone else who are working their ass off to make a good movie. I'm glad she left or else the atmosphere in the set would be so toxic in her presence.

Ujjwal Uniyal what are you on about? There’s a clear major personality difference between herself and the people she walked out on. Emma doesn’t act the way they do, and it’s bcuz she’s had a different upbringing

It's down to Americans imagining they are very funny when they start telling fart jokes. Watson's idea of vulgar humour is Monty Python, something far more sophisticated. I can leave the fake UN women's lib stuff, but I gotta admit, when I hear a tale like this, I kinda think, 'that girl is kinda hot!'

People are quick to forget how in the moment directors can be. There's a difference between being an unmanageable diva and being uncomfortable with a scene. Clearly she fulfilled her contract and was in the movie, but she left for this scene. Contracts are not set in stone, and they are not necessarily detailed. Emma also seems like she's very careful with her image, and it was probably alarming to have all of this unexpected stuff happening, not knowing how it would be edited. If it went a little darker, we have no idea what they were having Channing do or asking her to do for the sake of comedy. Forget how you feel about her politics. I'm tired of seeing people shame an actress for asserting her right to walk away from what makes her uncomfortable, when they wouldn't bat their eye at a guy doing the same. (That being said, I don't even think she deserves to be on the list, since it doesn't seem like she wouldn't film with Channing anymore. It was that specific situation)

Well, in Beauty and the Beast, she REFUSED to wear a corset because #feminism and it "hinders her movement and acting", conveniently forgetting that ALL THE OTHER WOMEN in the movie wore corsets and even Dan Stevens had to wear a huge CGI suit and stilts! Add to that, her acting in said movie was wooden at best! People just make excuses for her because they still think of her as Hermione and she's good at virtue signalling and being the privileged third way feminist that she is. She keeps on harping about pay gap, would she then be in a movie where an unknown actor/actress would be paid the same amount as her? Why doesn't she talk about REAL FEMINIST issues like the child brides in America, the women oppressed under Sharia law?

Why is there so much hate on Emma Watson? Aside from whether or not you agree with her ideology and policies, you should not judge her acting career based off of that. These are two different matters. Emma Watson is such a great role model. If I was uncomfortable in a situation I'm always afraid to do something about in fear of being rude but no one should be that way, if your uncomfortable then just say something or get out of that situation.

The business between Margulies and Panjabi is something I try to forget in order to keep loving TGW, because it sounds pathetic. I mean, not being BFF with your co-star is one thing, not being willing to shoot a scene with her is just petty. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Margulies started it.

what did channing have to do with emma walking off the set again?
@TheLooknFeel10 ай бұрын
IMHO, Jerome Flynn brought way more to Game of Thrones than Lean Headey did, and was more fun to watch onscreen.

The only one of these I really didn't know beforehand was Emma Watson and Channing Tatum, but it doesn't totally sound like it's Channing she had the problem with...Either way, I have even less respect for Emma than I did before. Walking out of a movie in the middle of a scene is the most unprofessional thing I've heard an actor do...If her role weren't just a cameo, it would probably be a career-killer. That Franco/Rogen/Apatow-universe keeps pulling in these humorless actresses (Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, Emma Watson) who just don't get what they're doing and they either bash the film afterward or walk away from it...Maybe that's why Apatow now seems to exclusively work with his wife Leslie Mann.
@Olivia-tc1ej6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Emma was obviously feeling uncomfortable on the scene, so really it was more professional to stand up to how she felt for her own benefit rather than playing a role that she was not comfortable in doing

its pretty obvious people dont like working with her. they essentially ended her show and brought back every other character from it to create a spin off that just didn't involve her.

Also her feud with the actor who played Kalinda, meant they had to green screen their final conversation because Marguilles refused to be in the same room. She's a diva and honestly The Good Fight is more impressive than TGW was. Just wish some of the other actors came back like Eli and David Lee.

I've seen a few articles about Channing Tatum being arsey/unprofessional on set so if it was Emma Watson in that event I could kind of understand it. Plus, she's always seemed quite collected whilst interviewed on set so I can see it taking a lot to get her to just walk away.

Good for Emma Watson. This is the End was a horrible tastless movie. I can just imagine what it must have been like arriving on sets and seeing these damn perverts.

I'm no big feminist but I'm not a fan of people being abused either. And from what we have seen lately, Hollywood is not the most stand up place you can find. You have to watch yourself there. And that movie in particular seemed like the most fratboy environment you can find.

They still did shoot scenes together, they just didn't get along very well, but I think that was more due to the stress of the film than actual ill-feelings towards one another. They're cool with each other now, Hardy even apologized at the movie premiere.

Nolte...yeah, he's one of those people that you invite over for a barbecue with your friends, and he winds up being so slovenly and affrontive and deliberately invasive and insulting to everyone (particularly if he's chemically affected) that you're not only embarrassed to the core, but you may wind up with damaged friendships afterward. He can be a deep natured and insightful person, but like so many, if he gets it in his mind to lay into you, you're going to pay for the lack of better judgement by having him around.
