Fraser didn’t just decide he was “comfortable” letting the Rock take the sequel. They weren’t going to bring back the same director and other crew members. Fraser held out to try and get them their jobs back. But the studio just dropped them all instead. He then tried to speak out about the abuse in Hollywood, including what had happened to him, and got black listed for it. He didn’t “ruin” his career. He got further abuse for showing integrity and strength. To put him on a list like this and not bother with the details is just utterly wrong.

Jennifer Grey joked about her situation once, saying something like "I went in [to the operating room] famous and came out anonymous." I always liked him as an actor but he should get back into shape. There’s still a market for men at least playing older action stars and superheroes. Look at Keanu Reeves, kind of meandered after the Matrix movies then bam at almost 60 he’s cranking out his 4th John Wick film. Tom Cruise is 60 I think and pretty much never stopped running, fighting and riding motorcycles in movies.

While the Fatty Arbuckle segment was technically correct, it's also a little biased. The reason he was acquitted at the third trial is because all the witnesses who perjured themselves in the first and second trials had been brought to light. She died of peritonitis caused by a perforated bladder, which itself was caused by a backstreet abortion. But it was her excess consumption of alcohol that exacerbated her condition afterwards. She never stated that Fatty Arbuckle had hurt her, because he hadn't. That was one of the uncovered instances of perjury by the time of the second trial, sadly it was still very prejudicial in that everyone was aware of the original statement, but not everyone was aware it had been recanted because it was a lie told on the stand under threat. At the third trial they were down to using a freshly caught pedophile as a stooge, but it was quickly found that the witness was exchanging crooked testimony for having his sexual assault of an 8 year old dropped. History got this one very wrong sadly, and while I appreciate the video does specifically address the reasons actors were cancelled, it does feel like the video is promoting the modified version of the truth, by not explaining that retrospectively it was a frame up based on public hysteria and an overzealous and unprincipled D.A.

the scandal involving Fatty Arbuckle was more complicated then what was told in this video. Long story short, the women he was accused of murdering had a back alley abortion that went wrong and died from complications, the prosecution was paying people to testify against him and two times the case against him ended in a mistrial, almost all the jurors were convinced of his innocence. The third time, the jurors deliberated for only minutes before finding him innocent and issued a formal statement apologizing to him for all that he went through trying to prove his innocence.

Ingrid Bergman made some of her most remarkable films after the Rossellini scandal in the ’50s. She won 2 Oscars, Best Actress for ‘Anastasia’ in 1956, and Best Supporting Actress for “Murder on The Orient Express” in 1974 (she was also nominated for “Autumn Sonata”, in 1978). From the late ‘50s on she also won 2 Emmys, a Bafta Award (UK), an honorary César Award (France), 3 David de Donatello Awards (Italy), 2 Golden Globes (and many nominations) as long as many awards from film critics all over the USA. From 1957 (‘Anastasia’) until her death in 1982, she was involved in about 20 films and TV productions, many of them very successful. I wouldn’t call that “a damaged star status”.

And that traumatized her so bad that she went into early retirement because she became disillusioned with Hollywood when he got off and literally took no hits to his career. and then yeah she got a nose job.
@imranraja2185
@imranraja2185 2 жыл бұрын
The car incident was in Ireland, what happened was that Matthew was driving on the wrong side of the road, must have momentarily forgot they drive on the other side of the road and crashed head on to another car killing two people, a mother and daughter instantly. Their names were Margaret Doherty and Anna Gallagher. Broderick was convicted of careless driving and was mostly unharmed physically, Jennifer received more substantial injuries and was indeed traumatized by these events.

One thing I've never understood about the Peewee Herman actor, is like, who TF goes to a public theater to watch an adult movie? And how exactly is anyone surprised or disgusted at someone touching themselves while watching an adult movie..? Kinda seems like the point.. I mean, who watches an adult movie just to take in the culture and complex dialog..?
@sizlax
@sizlax 2 жыл бұрын
@TheBajemo Still not really an excuse. I did it plenty of times while living with my mother. I'd do it in the shower, or late at night before going to sleep, even occasionally in public restrooms, though in those cases I'd seek out one of those private ones, like in a gas station, or the handicap ones in the McDonald's, or just one of those ones in the far corner of a building that never really get used. Although that was mostly when I was 13-17 and just doing it wherever I could that was convenient at the time. Anyways, point is, there's plenty of options really. Also, looking back on things now at the age of 41, I can't believe how disgusted people get over such an innocent act. I mean, it really does get demonized harshly in our society, even now. As if it were some horrible detestable act.. A little wank, blow your load, get on with your day. Sure it's a little messy, but no worse than a stuffed up sneeze. Guess it's just all the bible thumper, sex hater BS. Correction, any non missionary between a man and a women sex hater BS.

Then you pair him with one of the worse actors ever Kristofferson he looked he could act be because the other guy was so bad. Grey could of had a niche. His career never dived - he was a B list celebrity since the 1980s all the way until he died. He had no problem filling up theatres to see him do stand up in Los Angeles/Las Vegas/NYC. Also if you look at his filmography - he was in countless movies from the 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's. That being said - all of his stand up was filthy - which some people love and some people hate.

Are you seriously not going to bring up Michael Bay having an underaged Megan Fox dancing under a waterfall in Bad Boys 2, or that he had her washing is car "sexy like" in Transformers? I think she didn't want to work with him anymore for his predatory behavior towards her, and he did what we could to ruin her career for it.

Here's something almost no one gets right: the correct pronunciation of Brendan Fraser's and Lindsay Lohan's surnames. "Fraser" is not pronounced as in "erasure," but as in "laser." "Lohan" is not pronounced as in "slow man," but as in "blowin'." I've heard them both say their own full name, and it seems pretty reasonable to defer to them on that.

If I recall correctly, a lot of people did not want to see the Legend of the Lone Ranger because of the way the studio treated Clayton Moore prohibiting from wearing the legendary mask so they could promote their new movie. The studio wanted only one face to be recognized as the Lone Ranger. At the time, this did not sit well with a lot of people who thought it was completely unnecessary.

Easy to see how Jennifer Grey lost her "character" and became a different persona. That said, she had what looks like a fabulous nose job. Also, if anyone noticed, the video said her career slowed down before the surgery, so who knows how many leading roles it had for her anyway before taking a nose dive. Also, wanting it both ways... there's nothing new about that. Hope she's at least happy that she didn't get butchered.

Always liked Brendan Frazier as an actor. He had an uncanny ability to make the fantastical seem realistic. That’s not an easy task but he was able to pull it off better than most. He also didn’t have to overdo any of the roles to appear genuine in those roles. Some folks are just blessed with the natural ability to present a genuine feel in the role and he is definitely one of them. In that ability specifically I almost put him right there with some of the greats like Jack Nicholson and Cate Blanchett who are capable of an almost bizarre perfection with that skill. I’ve met Nicholson briefly and it’s amazing how you can see and sense from his genuine off screen nature why he is so captivating in his roles on screen. That guy is the real deal when it comes to the acting game. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Scott Kennedy. I agree 100%. Those first 2 Mummy Movies blew me away with Brendan's talent. I mean he had a gift for acting without any doubt. When I first saw The Mummy made by Universal in 1959 was impressive enough when I was 12 years old in 1964. So. In 2004 Universal did it again but, With amazing Special effects. I was addicted to the first 2 Mummy movies. I think I watch them at lest 7 to 8 times each one. Yes. I am very aware of my addictive personality for great movies and great actors like Brandon Frazier. I wonder if anybody knows that both those Mummy Movies made Mega bucks? I believe that's why they made MUMMY 3. However. As much as I tried, And I love Jet Li. I just could not get into Mummy 3 like I did Mummy 1 and 2.

@@greattunesking1, my addiction is to great acting performances when it come to movies. It’s just fascinating to me how perfectly executed roles can make the most unrealistic activity seem perfectly realistic. Without a doubt that lies totally in the lap of the actor or actress and how they execute the role. Brendan is just one of those few that have that ability to present a believable character seemingly built into their own general character if that makes sense. There a a lot of great actors and actresses, but there are not many of them that have that built in “thing”. Tom Cruise is actually another one of them too. There is almost no time when you feel they are pushing to present the character in these roles. They just ARE that character and it’s really is cool to see that level of talent supported by that natural “thing” as I label it, lol. 😎
