The original script for this movie had Amber and Tara dating, Wes being Tara’s bitter ex, Vince’s death was different and Wes’s death including the home security on the phone being messed with from the opening.

dewey had to retire due to the injuries he's sustained. most of back is covered in scar tissue. i also liked how he had tatum's ashes in his house. it sort of foreshadowed his death. He still punishes himself for not being to save his own sister, so he went out saving someone else's.

To me, David Arquette does his best acting in this film. In Scream 1-3, they tried to make him too much of a joke. But in Scream 4 and 5, we see him really become a different, more responsible Dewey.

I think the reason Tara survived was because the cops were just arriving at that last moment (you can see the lights and hear the sirens in the background). The killer probably panicked and rushed off before being able to finish her. Also, I loved how you were like “Dewey looks good!” when I think they were purposefully trying to make him look rough and disheveled lol. David Arquette is definitely aging well though and I agree with you about his performance…I think this is his best in the entire series. Anyway, love your Scream reactions and I’m looking forward to Part 6!

Dewey actually almost died for real way back in the first movie. Wes Craven was never sure whether or not he would keep him alive and even shot a scene confirming his death just in case, but test audiences liked him, so he got to stay around

I really liked Scream 5 and 6. RIP Dewey. He was badass as the grizzled veteran I know it's a movie, but anybody shot while wearing a bulletproof vest is gonna have at least one broken rib. Neve Campbell just got better with age.

If you look at the killings in Scream (2022) with the theory that.. *(SPOILERS)* Ritchie likes to go for quick face/neck stabs, and Amber goes ballistic with multiple stabs to the front, back and lower body, you’ll know who killed who throughout and where to place them.

@@TheLobster99 There are clearly two different killing styles. If you watch closely, it makes sense. I believe, (as do most others) that Richie’s style was quick and efficient, while Amber’s was more brutal and sloppy, involving multiple stabs. Therefore, it would make sense that Richie killed Vince and later Wes, while Amber killed Judy. You’ll notice that with the Judy kill she uses a palm strike and the weight of her body to compensate for her size and get past her attempts to block the knife. Vince and Wes are both stabbed through the neck/face, which is appropriately how Richie is ultimately killed. I believe this was intentional. He may have only had 2-3 kills/attacks, but Richie is not just a caller. Judy and Chad and Tara are stabbed the same way. (With multiple quick stabs) Chad when Richie is in the car with Samantha. It was different with Dewey. Amber used two knives and gutted him from both sides, making sure to finish him for good. It seemed the most personal of her kills.

@@adnap so I decided to do some looking on the interwebs and I found conflicting things. I saw an interview with the directors that said Ritchie didn’t wanna get his hands dirty and wanted to be the intellectual one and that Amber didn’t mind “breaking some eggs” which goes hand in hand with Sam saying Ritchie was a limp dick man baby who made his girlfriend do all the killing.. buuuuuut there’s a lot of evidence showing that Ritchie did indeed kill Vince and Wes which makes sense (your points are pretty fair) so I’m torn. I’m going to choose to believe that he did get his hands dirty after all since that would make him an even better Ghostface!

They found Dewey's only weakness... being stabbed in the front 😅 I enjoy 5 for the meta commentary on toxic fandom (Rian Johnson being the director of a fanboy hated 8th installment is a perfect meta joke), and how it makes loving reference to Wes' Screams (the For Wes sign is a big tribute) while trying to forge a new group of characters to go forward with. I enjoy 6 way more than 5, and am excited to see where they go with nuScream.

the reason why sam being the killer according to "requel" rules makes sense is because she's the daughter of one of the original killers (and has hallucinations about him).

Huh, that does make some sense but it doesn't really mean she would turn out like him even with hallucinations. Although in movie terms it makes perfect sense. I'm kind of glad they didn't go that route because that would've been boring and Sam is my favorite character next to Tara. You don't have to respond to this by the way and thanks for explaining this because I didn't get it when I watched it the first time.

They were originally going to make Tara and Amber a couple or recent broken up, so that could explain why she was left alive besides the obvious to further the plot and get them in woodsboro

My family still uses a landline phone. Best for usage in an emergency because hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, and even rain and snowstorms may knock down cell phone towers, it never needs to be charged, and best of all, 911 can always find you. It's more difficult to pinpoint your location with a cellphone, and if you can't talk for whatever reason, that may be fatal. I can't wait for 6!! It's so good!

David Arquette really killed it in this one! All of his scenes really stole the show. While I hated that he died because I just absolutely love his character, his death was a really great one! Worthy of a legacy character. Even if I don't like that it was Amber that killed him. Wes's death was also pretty gruesome. I think Wes Craven would've appreciated it. Also love the strong Latina representation we got with Sam and Tara as final girls. They showed some good potential and really live up to it in the next movie. Scream 5 was a good one, not the best, but pretty good despite some flaws. Hope you enjoy Scream 6! 👻🔪♥

Okay about the recent breeding if you didn't notice... Sydney married. A man named Mark. That would be the cop from three that's who her unseen daughters are by. As for the twins, you of course know their mother is Randy's little sister who we met in three well their daddy from what I've heard but I I did not catch them say anything about it in any of the movies since he's black. I heard that he is the cameraman from two. You know the one who fainted finding her brother's body. Joel... That man I can never recall his name. I had to Google it but he has one of my favorite lines of the franchise!

Yeah it is kind of funny that in the first scream the cops were like oh my god. He's got a cell phone that must make him the killer. They totally b******* it into that one. It really shouldn't have been that easy but now it's just cell phones are the thing. Landlines are the thing people don't really have anymore. I mean people have them but most people don't. It was the common thing in the 90s when I was a kid. Now it's like I guarantee most teenagers are like. Do I even know anyone who has a landline and and it's true cuz when I was a teenager most people didn't have cell phones. Everyone had a landline. Now it's you. Have to have a cell phone and landlines are optional. I don't have a landline

This is my favourite Scream sequel, i only prefer the original, obviously. I love Sam and Tara as new final girls, and the increase in gore in this one. I've loved horror films since i was 5 in the mid 80s when i first saw the original Halloween, which is my second favourite movie now (after Pulp Fiction).

Spoilers if someone somehow hasn't seen the video anyways the reason why I don't really like 5 is because how they treated Dewey and Gale in this like it was kind of fun where they have this on-and-off relationship in 1 2 and 3 but in this I feel like they should have kept Gale and Dewey married and staying together like I was all right with Dewey dying it's just that it would have been more emotional if Gale and Dewey were more together and married sorry if thiz doesn't make sense
