I had beyond the sunset played at my husbands funeral service. We both agreed that who ever went first the other would have it played. My good friend said she almost lost it.

I think George had the kindest eyes I've ever seen---he had many health problems near the end of his life on this old world. He never lost site of what was ahead of him. He just was a very special man of God.

George was the sweetest man. Some one that really believed in God and the faith George had in his Lord. This will always be someone I cherish knowing.

I got to stand on stage with the Cathedrals at the age of 14. I was piano player for a young quartet. We did a concert with the Cathedrals in city auditorium in Calhoun, GA. We were just young nobodies, but George and Glen insisted we get on stage with them for the finale. I stood with George's arm around me as his majestic voice rang in ear. That was well over 40 years ago, but it seems like yesterday. George and Glen were the real deal folks. Two of the best men God ever blessed us with.

If you are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone as George was, then you will get to not only meet him someday, but will really know him well. What a great place Heaven is.

Wish I could have know George and JD. They were truly men of God and whatever human frailties they had we love them! I have just recently become interested in Southern gospel but have learned a lot through what I have seen these men do!
