Now 2022.I absolutely adore listening to George and many of the others. It's been less than a year since I discovered this beautiful gospel music. Many of these singers have been called home. I give my heartfelt thanks that I can listen to this wonderful uplifting music. I have tears rolling down my face because I am so deeply moved with joy and emotion.

I will always miss Vestal Goodman and George Younce. I used to watch the homecoming kids growing up and I love them so much. I was sad when I found out that the singers of my childhood are gone

Oh, how I do miss this man of God, and Gaither. HE and JD were just about the only singers I could stay in range with, but their goodness and kind hearts, gentle spirit and absolute faith were mountains above me. What a great man! Thank you for such a joyful life, George. We'll sing again soon. I can't wait!

My dad was a musician and choir director. I was watching the Gaither program and he wasn't paying much attention. When George Y sang he turned around and says "that's a base singer!". My dad so appreciated a strong base voice.

Lord why didn't my dad sing this song "Thanks to Calvary" when I'm little. It would be a proud moment for me and I would have love you even more.

George was perfect doing "The Laughing Song'. He had a great personality and could pull it off. I wonder what it would have been like if JD had done it. Don't get me wrong, I love JD. In his quiet way he was a wonderful witness. It would have been fun to watch the kids reaction.

Mary Phillips Ignore satan, he's just laughing. Let him laugh, he'll cry soon enough when Jesus says, "Turn away for you knew Me not". I'm going to pray for that man who has upset you. You are a precious child of God, and if he had any self respect, he wouldn't have said that. God bless you Mary Phillips!

Mundrubet.......I found your Dad later in my life, with regrets. It was easy to admire him and love him. How lucky you were to have such a great man, lead you. It was so easy to admire everything he did on the Gaither tapes.....with all his medical problems. Being in the same boat, I've learned so much from him. Thank you for your service...... USMC-RET.

Vampcourt13 She married George? Or George's son? I'm so confused. Your grandma's sister's daughter? I think that's your cousin once removed or second cousin as we say in the hicks. 🤔

Does anyone know which dvd the clip of George telling the story about Chief getting gas, is from?
@Djm85203 жыл бұрын
First class man and a quick wit. I would rank George third on my all-time list. He didn’t have the brilliant rhythm of the Big Chief and he didn’t have J.D.’s range.
