Great video, thanks for posting. It's been a while since you posted this. I'm wondering if you still have it, and if so, have you updated it recently? Their website seems to be down. I just need for it to give me the codes for a 2017 Kia Forte..

Yes, I still use it. My daughter has an '07 Prius that was giving a low tire pressure code on the instrument panel. I tried to read the code but this scanner doesn't read tire pressure codes. No, I have not updated it. I didn't know that I could. Thanks for watching.

I replaced the rotor and cap and that fixed the problem. CEL never lit up again. I found out that code about the transmission selector was because the indicator light on the dashboard that shows what gear you're in fails to light up when the transmission is in drive. I don't think it's serious enough to repair so I'm leaving it as it is.

I bought this tool some years ago for my truck. Was great while it was being updated. Actron stopped updating the tool shortly after and moved onto making another model. Last update was 2012. So it doesn't have any of the diagnostic stuff for my current vehicle which is a 2017 model. So a few hundred dollars for a tool that only now has the ability of my basic Actron reader that I have had for years .It also has issues with connecting to the PC with the USB connector. I would search for another brand before wasting money on this company.

bi-directional is the ability to operate a component in the vehicle to see if it is functioning correctly. like solenoids, relays, switches. etc ....

Works with all cars that have an OBDII scanner port, usually built 1998 and later.

Why pay 100$ to a dealer when autozone advanced auto and oreillys will scan it for absolutely 100% free? I never understood that. I understand wanting something with live data.. But I never understood why people actually PAID someone to scan their vehicle when it's free at all the auto parts store!!

The auto parts stores in our neck of the woods won't clear codes for us, they just tell us the code numbers.

My local Autozone and Advanced Auto store's ODB scanners do NOT scan ABS/SRS codes, another reason to buy your own unit, one that does everything you need for all your cars.
