Acts 2 "Listen Pentecostals!" - by J. Dan Gill

Are Oneness and Trinitarian Pentecostals preaching the same message regarding Jesus that Peter preached in Acts 2? Peter declared, "HEAR these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him" (Acts 2:22). Will modern day Pentecostals really hear Peter's message?

I was brought up in a Trinitarian Pentecostal church. As an adult, I realized the Trinitarian doctrine made no sense, and it was a lot of double talk. I was introduced to Oneness Pentecostal, and for many years that was the position I took, but I was never comfortable with the idea of them insisting Jesus was the Father, just because the Spirit of the Father dwelt in Him. Jesus claimed to be One with the Father, but He never claimed to be the Father. Finally, I have found a position that continues to reject the Trinitarian concept of God, but goes further than the Oneness concept.

Here's another one we were wrong about. Tithing. We need to do an honest scripture search on that. Where did the apostles instruct, command, receive, or pay tithes? I’ve been saying the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-9) out loud with my family for the last 20 years. Jesus reiterated that it was indeed the greatest commandment. The Jews recite it 3 times a day. We recite it a minimum 2 times a day and as oft times when we leave our home. I’m so grateful today after 20 years God released this powerful sermon through His servant. God bless you!!!

Let all the angels of God worship him? Jesus said thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve. If you’re a servant of Jesus then he better be your God. God was manifest in the flesh? And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (1 Timothy 3:16). It’s hard for thee to kick against the pricks! There is only one Lord. God made Jesus (the son) Lord. It pleased the Father that in him (the son) should all fulness dwell. God came in the flesh as a man to destroy every enemy of man including ultimately death. But God was the man Christ Jesus. The eternal Everlasting Father dwelt in the man Christ Jesus. Him being fully man did not negate the fact that He was the everlasting Father. His eternal omnipresence did not cease from being when He became that baby in a manger. No man comes to the Father but by Jesus Christ!

I don’t agree with James White (Trinitarian apologist) but he was completely right when he said in order to read the Bible from a Unitarian position you have to have 1 eye opened and the other closed I don’t disagree that Jesus was MADE human in every way I use the same arguments you’d use against us against trinitarians Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. How would you partake of flesh and blood to be made like the brethren in every sense of the way if you was only ever flesh and blood to begin with John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. How was Jesus in heaven and on Earth at the same time?? How was Jesus worshipped if he wasn’t God?? He should’ve told them not to like Peter did and the angel in Revelation Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. How does the voice of him the cries in the wilderness (John the Baptist) prepare the way of YHWH if Jesus isn’t YHWH? How can he make straight a path for our God if he isn’t God?? Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? Jeremiah 23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Jeremiah 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. When Jesus sits on the right hand of God he’s not sitting at the literal right hand just as YHWH wasn’t at the literal right hand of David Psalms 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Y’all have the correct view the the Father is the only true God (John 17:3) but you need to open your other eye to see the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Don’t even get me started that Jesus is the Holy Spirit how can Jesus be the Holy Spirit but not God if he came out of the Holy Spirit? Do we now have 2 Holy Spirits?? Acts 16:6 [6] And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. Acts 16:7 [7] And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. 2 Corinthians 3:17 [17] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. John 14:16 [16] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, John 14:17 [17] even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:18 [18] “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. Time to open your other eye!!

Oneness mean MONOTHEIST only One God the Father who came among us as the Lamb of God to crucify is flesh for to reconcile with Him. Emanuel God among us! Also am not a Pentocostal but a simple believer in the written word. The triune God(s) is the roman catholic God(s) created in 325ad and never teach in the bible.

Yahweh didn't come here on Earth but Jesus did bcoz Yahweh sent him. Jesus is the son of God but Yahweh is the Almighty God(the God of Israel). So don't confuse the two sir. Stephen when he was about to die after they stoned him , saw God(Yahweh) and yeshua(Jesus) on the right-hand. Now sir how can Jesus simultaneously be Yahweh again in that scripture? Please explain to me what Stephen saw?

The right hand mean the supreme power of Yahweh (as the throne also) God is Spirit He does not have a right hand and when I say that Yahweh is the Messiah in flesh to come it's because of this EXPLICIT chapter ( and others ones too) Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. I knew for a long time, and refused anything else..but some seem to refuse to listen to what is true,and so simple. Yehovah did say, what he has giving us ,wasnt to hard for us).
