There were two ships. Two Ecclesias (congregations) one sailed in the protection of Crete (fleshy) one sailed in the shelter or protection of Love. The Ecclesia that sailed close by the island of flesh it needed to learn to trust GOD. So it had the Judgement of GOD come on it until it could not bear up (repentance - 180 change of course - surrender our will to his) from our purpose to GOD's.
