Another enlightening session. Thank you. I chuckled at the leadership principles demonstrated in this chapter - delegating, division of labour, job specifications and requirements - like the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined in a job ad. I like that the 12 opted to remain focused on their core responsibility and strength, i e. Witnessing/evangelism/outreach. I also appreciate that they did not ignore, but acknowledged and facilitated the suggestion/complaint. But there is no record of them praying for the Holy Spirit's guidance in selecting the 7 as they did wuth Judas' replacement; however, they anointed the 7 upon selection. I'm truly grateful for this Bible study.

Oh this is so awesome. I love how we can understand things and see how biblical principles and strategies used then to solve problems, to make decisions, all the things - how they are actually effective and practical and we still use them today! Oh how I wish we had written record of every detail, right!?

I'm enjoying our study time. It's really nice to share this time with you. Surprisingly I'm at the gym listening to your study instead of music!😂😂 that's how much I'm enjoying your channel ❤

Oh that's so awesome! I often get into a video while doing my warm up cardio and just keep it playing while I workout too lol. You probably would like my audio podcast "His Word My Walk" - there are more than 100 episodes there as I've done it for almost 3yrs. All 20min each intentionally designed for a walk too ☺️

Hi Mike. I’m not a VRA member so unsure of what link you are referring to. Thanks for the encouragement.

I do not think the apostles thought they were above anything. They wanted to devote most of their time to the gospel. As the church/believers was growing, it was time for others to start helping out as they professed their faith. We all have to do our part as a follower of Jesus. Just my view of it.

I totally agree. With all that growth it was time for some structure. And yes, we all need to do our part!
