Looks like a fun game. Just getting back into role playing after 30 years and looking into the SW system. Deadlands looks cool. Good work by the GM too.

Question about Deadlands: I recently picked up Savage Worlds and like the idea of the system. I've seen a ton of Deadlands versions, what is different about the one that just shipped from a Kickstarter?
@DungeonMusings3 жыл бұрын
Overall, the major change seems to make it in line with the changes made in the newest edition of Savage Worlds (Adventure Edition), but also consolidated everything from previous editions into one book.

@@Ranzarok De nada. All of the Savage Worlds versions of Deadlands have been pretty great (they have released versions for the Explorer Edition and Adventure Edition), the difference between editions is not as severe in Savage Worlds as it is in other games, and Pinnacle (the publisher of Savage Worlds) keep a bunch of free PDFs on their site that provide conversion rules for books from older editions into the newest, so if you do decide to take the plunge into Deadlands, you have a lot of options for taking your posse into the Weird West. :)

@@DungeonMusings Sounds good, thanks for the info. I recently picked up SWADE and have been looking around for a good scifi setting as well. The Last Parsec, Interface Zero and Seven Worlds are all settings I have picked up hoping to find one that I like. Weird West might be pretty fun too.

it was a very enjoyable watch, but you guys kept doing some tiny mistakes with soaking and shaken. Rolling to unshake is a free action at the beginning of the turn, with a success you break free with a failure youre still shaken, then you can however use a benny to become unshaken right away. In soak, if you manage to soak all wounds you wouldve gotten, you alsonare not shaken. In fact if you were shaken before the soak roll from a different source and then soak all wounds you Also lose shaken! Besides that it was an enjoyable watch.

Does the SWADE Core Compendium have the rules for Deadlands in it, or did you have to enter it all yourself?
@DungeonMusings3 жыл бұрын
I had to enter the Deadlands-specific Edges/Hindrances/Powers, but that is easily done from the PDFs.

That attempt at a regional period accurate American accent was awful : *YOU ARE FINED 1 CREDIT FOR A VIOLATION OF THE VERBAL MORALITY STATUTE* ;^) On a more serious note : Any plans for the group to play Paleomythic in the near future ?

I have Paleomythic, and it looks cool, but no plans for it in the immediate future.

1 Credit is just not enough... Make it 5 Credits and no GM Bennies for the next recorded episode.

@@FMD-FullMetalDragon Sometimes, the job of a DM is to dive head first into a bad accent to help the players get into the spirit of a setting and to let them know that their own efforts at a bad accent will be welcome and add to the fun (regardless of how bad they may be, too). Zero regrets on my part, folks. ;)
