People compare insurancce with share market investment. Insurance give guarantee of returns on the first day, while volatility is drawback of mutual funds.Insurance give guaranteed amount to family if you are not living. Mutual funds give more returns but income protection is given by insurance.

You cannot compare tomatoes with apples. PPF is an only investment & tax-free returns, but Jeevan Umang gives you lifetime risk cover and lifetime guaranteed returns.

@@MilindWalawalkar you do can compare them both. Compare ppf plus term insurance. Then that combo will give both more returns also risk cover for life. Traditional policy looses here.

​@@sanakiddy2883ppf is only for 20 years, Jeevan Umang is 100 years plan. In Ppf returns are taxable, in insurance premiums, investment snd returns are TAX FREE. You can not compate apples with oranges. High returns are always good, at the same time income protection, family financial security are necessity of life.

You are comparing apples with oranges. Ppf give good returns but maximum period is 20 years. Ppf returns sre taxable. Jeevan umang , j. Utsav insurance plan work till 100 years of age , premiums ,returns , maturity are ALL tax free.
