i used that style... and my teammate calls it bait system,, then he just throw his grenade towards me instead of the enemy coz he don't want me to follow him :// and it is also not good (but still workable) if you are following a sentinel, unless if you are an initiator or duelist that can back up his aggressive peeks sometimes

For distractions: the Cypher camera is pretty much a flashbang in 1v1 post plant scenarios. Do the cam and immediately push. For 1st round buys: think about your agent and map. For agents that can over heal, why buy a shield when you can get a better pistol, or do you need both smokes for a push, etc

yaa the buddy system is great!! I play compi only with my buddy because the Indian server is filled with people don't appreciate much. And about the last tip , I do buy a ghost if I am playing Cypher(Main agent in compi) or Sova(if Cypher is taken) and buy abilities , and if I am playing Sage(practicing the agent) then I do buy light shield as I can take some hits and heal my teammate if needed. And the tip about being a little off the spike , I did get kills like that many times!! I am trying those distracting abilities and I still need to know when to take fights and when to avoid them. ex-radiant here. Just wanted to say something about the buddy system. While it is good for beginners I would not recommend for plat+. It can limit your gameplay sometimes and maybe makes you focus on someone else a bit too much. Instead if you want to play with someone specifically I would focus on the same area of the map as them instead of the actual player. That way you are both adversely helping each other while playing as well as you can. Edit: One major problem I forgot to mention with the system is following your teammate robotically and then he backs off or goes somewhere else, and you're left behind in a bad spot because you werent focusing on what you were doing.

back when the shorty was 150 creds every agent could buy a shorty with full util so on pistol round that's what I always did until they made it 300 now I'm more open to buying other guns

Depending on the character, it's still great to buy a shorty and drop it on the ground before round start :) with neon I sometimes buy shorty/ghost, if they don't come to my site I can pick up the ghost for retake. It depends on the fight though, on Haven if I start A, a ghost can be decent for fighting the guy long on the C retake, but starting garage/C I can't find as many ghost fights on that rotation, so armor or stuns 🤘 It's a free 2 kills depending on how it's played 😎

When you in 1v1 moment and need to defuse the spike, tap the spike then crouch on the spike, this will make enemy thought you are still defusing the spike when they peek. Your gun covered by the spike so enemy wont saw ur holding a gun

I always think about what entrance I want to cover… if it’s long, I try to get ghost, if it’s a short entrance I try to get time for my team and buy a shield (or more utility). Also depends on the agent… sage is always wall and shield 😅 but I am unrated so I don’t think that counts a lot 🤣 Thanks for the tips! Really enjoy your content

You can also keep track of your enemy's Ult Points and change your round's play style and Loadout. For example, You see Vyse Ult ready or 1-2 points left, make sure to buy atleast a better secondary so you dont give up your angles on their retakes

Also another tip kind of like what Mr. lowlander said about ultimate points, but instead press tab and look at your opponents ultimate points and by that you might be able to predict what their play is gonna be by either pushing in with killjoy's ultimate or jett's ultimate and also bonus tip: look at your team and opponents economy

Also another thing with your first tip. I see a ton of people in post plant 1v1 situations NOT push the enemy holding them and just end up having the bomb explode cuz they keep getting jiggle peaked by the enemy and they let go of defusing. In these 1v1 situations its almost always better to push the person holding you because that's likely the only way you'll be able to get a full defuse off. Unless if the person holding you post plant is really bad you will see this problem happen multiple times a day in valorant. If you're playing a smokes character then smoking the bomb and defusing might work but most cases if you have ZERO utility to play off of you HAVE to push the enemy and kill them quickly to be able to defuse.

Great tips, as a chamber main, I can’t tell you how many times I die due to low elo players relying heavily on their util to always give them an advantage wether it’s a Reyna eye, gekko wingman, etc. great tip but very annoying to play against especially when you have teammates who’re literally playing agents that can do the ability distraction but don’t know how to or are completely stupid about it

For the ghost vs armor it usually depends on who I'm playing... For phoenix (who has heal) I go ghost and for omen (who needs more util) I go light armor.

I always change up my first round buys depending on my side and agent pick. mostly play omen, so attack I go frenzy + 2 tp & smoke. and defense I go flash, shield and smoke

ok more tips for the ultimate. Don't forget to communicate when you only need 1 ult orb to get ultimate. You can make plans with your team to grab orb and use it before taking the site. Even if your team didn't notice you are 1 away from ult, tell them so they are on the same page with you

For first round, I buy depending on the agent and map. For raze I almost always go for satchels and light shield. Classic is also better for raze bc of the right click. Then cypher on attack is a trip and ghost. But if I’m on defense then it’s full util. I would prioritize util over gun first tho.

i want to add a tip, when you're on the attacker's side, try a fake lurk and ensure the enemy spots you... If you're playing as a controller, before leaving the fake push site, drop a smoke after a few seconds (if you have one to spare). The enemy will be convinced you're still there, and 90% of the time, they'll hold that position for almost a minute, giving you time to regroup with your team for a 4v5 or 3v5 advantage.
