Just a reminder to please not harass anyone involved. I was just the first one to speak so please give everyone a chance to talk before assuming anything about them. I spoke with a lot of emotion and described what I saw. Daniel isn't me so please let him give his side before assuming my side is an absolute truth.
This isn't my typical video. I would much rather have fun streaming today, but things have changed, for better or for worse.
Thank you to all the people who cared to watch me on DanPlan throughout these past five years. I'm sorry for leaving DanPlan barely a week into 2020, but I needed to give you all an update. And I'm really sorry Hosuh, for leaving you alone on the channel. I kept telling myself to keep going, hoping that I'd be able to see the end of this journey with you. But I couldn't. And I can't. I'm sorry for being selfish and dragging you into my fight nine months ago. I truly do wish you the best on the channel.
DanPlan has changed so much since we started years ago, so much so that I don't even know what I'm watching anymore, even though I'm the one speaking. I know that what I have said, done, and will be saying in the video can't be taken back. But I need to say it. And any future DanPlan members need to hear this before getting involved with the channel. Don't let the fame get to your head like it did mine.
I'm planning to do another Q&A stream next week at my usual time on Saturday but nothing before then. I've asked Blank to gather up some questions you all might have so please message her if you want more answers next week. I know it's cowardly to drop this on everyone and run away for a week, but I need some time off of KZbin after wrecking a friendship I've had since middle school.

I think stephen is the one in the right, he never actually seemed like he had a fully built script in any video, and his emotions talking about it seem really genuine to be just acting. To an extent, I can deeply relate to your situation. No matter how much effort I put into my writing and art, no matter how hard I try to be kind and compassionate, people would always brush them off and not consider me to be a valued aspect in this generation. They do mix IMO but It's usually better to go business first then friendship because almost anyone can share a laugh and hold a conversation and be "friends", but not anyone can be selfless to better the interests of people beyond themselves , know when and when not to compromise, or take sincere feedback to improve their method. I find Hosuh is caring for his friends first, which allows for him to care for the channel for it is something they have ALL done so well in to create. To see business in the way of friendship is heartbreaking, but Stephen has the right to equal pay. Stephen counts as an ACTOR, to say that is not a respectable job is out right insulting to him as a person, and his hard work. I just hope Stephen finds a way to show that he shines. Please don't attack anyone- there's a reason why Stephen said not to attack anyone. Attacking people is never a cool thing to do. You're allowed to be upset with Dan, but attacking him or anyone is just a bad and unhelpful thing in every way imaginable. Plus, knowing how the internet works, there's probably already people attacking Dan, maybe even more people, and the last thing needed is adding to that stuff. When people get mass-attacked online, it can really affect their mental health and wellbeing. Even if Dan and Stephen aren't friends anymore, I highly doubt Stephen would like that happening. Please don't do that- it's horrible and not at all okay or needed.

This whole ordeal had me actually sobbing into my pillow. DanPlan brought me so much joy and helped me through my suicidal and stressed episodes I had last year. I had notifications on always and would smile every time there was a new upload. I had no idea *this* was what was really happening, behind all the animation and thought experiments and fun personalities. Things like this break my heart. Honestly, I don't blame Stephen at all for what he did. If I was in his position, I'd do the same thing. I wish him the best of luck in the future.
