Voting for Tail Whip The name is though a bit unfulfilled if it's "just" for turning, but I guess it would still be called a tail whip if the move is used for hitting the ball as well, just that you would say "I just tail whipped the ball". Imagining it could be handy for certain passes where you want to play defensively after your pass, i.e lower ranks with chasing team mates.

@@gabe3656 and wavedash is originally a "super smash melee" mechanic tbh. I find it kinda cool to pick mechanic names from other game titles. Way nicer than naming moves after players, i.e. musty, breezi, kuxir etc.

Alright so I've been noticing this "half dash" thing in pro play as well but I would not call it a new mechanic and think it should have been in a honourable mentions or something cause my reaction when I started seeing it was "oh that's a useful thing that pros do that would be easy to pick up" not "woah, insane new mechanic" your build up and the way you talked about it made me think it would be insanely mechanical and new but it's just a bit of reverse into a turn into a wavedash. V useful but wasn't the hype it was built too. Apart from that it was a clean vid, love your content.

Dude can you make a video about how to deal with frustation on Rocket League? I mean that I fill stuck and I can't get better in nothing, I'm training speedflip about 2 or 3 days and I can't consistent, I'm trying to learn airdribble since I found out this mechanic (in 2016 I think so, yes I'm 6 years trying to airdribble, not exactly because I stop to play RL and can't airbrilling Is one of the reasons for that, but If im not wrong everytime I played I tried to training airdribble) and on the start of this week (today is saturday in my country) I started to learn and Train Air roll left control, but in this I Felt some progression but I still can't hit the ball, again, with consistent. Without talking about my ridicilous performance in 1v1. So I ask for you do a video with theme to help me and anyone whos stuck like me and Is about to give up pls. Ps: I'm Plat 3, and sorry for my patetic English

im a recent champ 1, id consider myself very comp mechanical (i use useful mechanics, speedlfip, half flip, wavedashes, fast aerials, shit like that), and i've been doing the last one for a minute it just seemed natural to me. number 1: i always try to land wheels first on the wall, obviously, for faster recoveries. then i also have the wavedash off the wall down to a T, from every angle (so i can wavedash almost anywhere regardless of the angle i land). so joining them was just natural instinct, i hit the ball, or challenge, land wheels first on the wall and immediately jump off and wavedash

@spironspirit6502
@spironspirit6502 2 жыл бұрын
I made a super cringe vid on this but with a flip, and have since used it for certain recoveries from bad aerials. I called it a stage reset and how I did it is similar to a wavedash, but I kept the car level, then front flipped just before reaching the ground and canceled the flip. this would cause me to turn around in a very similar way. you can also jump when going on the wall in the corner just before hitting the turn and turn left as you do so and you will go straight down very fast because you don't have to take the time to turn.

Surprised he didn't mention the wall reset. It's basically a free flip reset off of the wall, you can get it while setting up an air dribble, and your opponent can basically not even tell you have a reset. This is the most obvious next big thing behind the chain dash (which I've seen people use ON THE BALL), it was shown on Reddit first and a shitload of pros said in the comments their totally practicing this for next major. Like, the whole dignitas team, and then some others
